Another great episode. Really tied everything together much better than I expected.
Agreed, the writing is much tighter and they've focused the story on a few central characters.
I was really worried it was going to turn out like the second or third seasons of the original series - but it's much better.
Anyone suspect that Hiro survived the Harris attack - I like that we don't see him die - and I know he had to lose his powers, which was something that really bugged me about the original series, that they would always mess with his powers ( I suppose the problem with Hiro is that he's so powerful he could pretty much solve any problem - ah well).
The best part of the episode was seeing young Nathan as a strong, confident kid who was ready to play his part in the events - totally different from the kid we meet in episode 1. The kid actor did a great job.
Also the performance of Judi Shekoni as the crazed, grieving mother. Made the transformation into serial killer believable.
I still think she's going to show up at a critical time and screw things up for our heroes.
Anyway, the show is getting better and better - I was worried at first, but it's surpassed my modest expectations.
