Heroes Reborn General Discussion

Also, can someone please just say where Peter Petrelli is?

Well it seems Kring said Peter's fate will be revealed at the very end of Reborn, it's like Kring is doing a JJ Abrams with Peter's fate. :yay:

Hopefully, Hiro dumped him in some distant, desolate era, where he can't hurt anybody with his terrible, terrible judgement.

Hey don't talk about Peter like that speaking of it turns out Robbie Kay said Peter is his favorite, also he based Tommy off of Peter, and there are some cool parallels between them. :yay:

I feel like that is dumb in and of itself. It keeps the audience in this bizarre limbo, where it is hovering over the show but at the same time isn't a mystery, the resolution of which is being built to or anything like that. Then at the end he is just going to tack on an answer to the question that he and the writers did not even ask? It is odd and kind of poor writing.

It would have been nice to have Hayden Panettiere back for one or two episodes. I understand she's busy with Nashville, but I hate when a show keeps mentioning a character in the background and we never see them (and no, the top of her head does not count...)

I like the twist with Tommy (Nathan) and Malina. Curious to see how part 2 of June 13 turns out.

I don't think the twins are Claire's things don't add up, I think HRG is being tricked into helping them keep the twins safe so they can save the world, and they did say Angela's main goal is to save the world no matter what. :yay:

I really want to know if Sylar is the father of Malina and Tommy or it's someone else.

This show is so absurdly awful, yet I can't help but watch. It is like the terrible car accident you just can't look away from.

Right well I have closure on the whole Claire death thing. Not particularly impressed with the way they handled it but I'm ready to move on.
Matt Parkmans turn to evil was a bit wtf. But he's clearly redeemable.
This show could do with some walking dead style, Morgan solo eps. Carlos seems to be left hanging right now. I'm struggling to see how he could be of any significance to the main plot. He'll just be doing street level side missions?

I'm satisfied with the explaination surrounding Claire's death. Just not with the no-face part.

Well, that was nice of them to tie Carlos to the bigger plot of series.... sort of.

Noah really screwed the pooch.

Okay I just needed someone to clarify a doubt I have. They mention in the show that Tommy has the ability to absorb powers like Nathan did, but as I recall it was Peter Petrelli with this ability and not Nathan. Wasn't Nathan's ability flying?:huh:

angela said he can absorb powers like his uncle (peter) and his great grandfather.

Nathan is "Tommy"'s real name

This. Except I still haven't watched the last episode. I could right now, but don't want to. The bar for "super powers" on screen has been raised.

This just is difficult to watch. It seems to eve be mimicking civil war a little bit the whole evos thing.

Another great episode. Really tied everything together much better than I expected.

Agreed, the writing is much tighter and they've focused the story on a few central characters.

I was really worried it was going to turn out like the second or third seasons of the original series - but it's much better.

Anyone suspect that Hiro survived the Harris attack - I like that we don't see him die - and I know he had to lose his powers, which was something that really bugged me about the original series, that they would always mess with his powers ( I suppose the problem with Hiro is that he's so powerful he could pretty much solve any problem - ah well).

The best part of the episode was seeing young Nathan as a strong, confident kid who was ready to play his part in the events - totally different from the kid we meet in episode 1. The kid actor did a great job.

Also the performance of Judi Shekoni as the crazed, grieving mother. Made the transformation into serial killer believable.

I still think she's going to show up at a critical time and screw things up for our heroes.

Anyway, the show is getting better and better - I was worried at first, but it's surpassed my modest expectations.

The show now has hit its stride. Solid overall last few eps. The darkest timeline paradox stuff Im liking.

Im curious as to what El Vengadors predicament is now that the timeline has changed. Is he still in the same situation?

wth? she killed Bambi! Now that's evil :p

I am really digging Parkman this season in the few bits we see of him.
Hes actually morphed into his Dad(Nightmare Man)

I like it also. It is also fairly consistent with the character. He was always kind of a cowardly snot. And in nearly every future jump on the original series, Parkman turned evil. It really shouldn't be that surprising that he ultimately did.

You know with Hiro running his father's company, Parkman becoming like his father maybe Peter has as well? I mean Angela did say in S3 the only future she sees is one caused by him and really Peter reminds me of Anakin what if Erica is working for Peter?

Other than the one where Peter caused the explosion, which futures are you referring to?

At any rate, I feel that Parkman turning evil is something that has to be earned, rather than jumping forward four or five years and saying, "Okay, now he's a badguy." He was really despicable in this episode; I think I might dislike new Parkman more than Erica Kravid.

In general, though, the episode was entertaining.

Edit: Actually, I think I remember him being on the bad side in the virus future but then switching sides.

I'll say this, I hope Parkman or Peter is the big bad rather than Erica. Erica has felt so underwhelming.
