  • He will rock!! Just look at that couple!

  • Don't like the casting

  • I expected him for some other role

Scott is not Steve Trevor.

Casting happened yesterday.. involving 4 actors.

Customarily, casting is done by the director. And WW don't got one. :hehe:

Whelp I can't blame them. Haha. He kinda reminds me of Hugh Jackman a bit.

Which is not surprising, since Hugh Jackman is reminiscent of Clint Eastwood. But Scott actually reminds me a bit of Chris Evans too.

But since Patty Jenkins is signed today, maybe they did have one yesterday and she was already looking at potential actors before being officially announced today.

We don't know where exactly McLaren left and Jenkins entered. We may have Jenkins weeks ago.

I'm really curious as to who the 4 actors with the test offers are? I'm still rooting for Joel Edgerton as Steve.

Customarily the director hires a casting director to cast the movies.

Customarily, a casting director organizes qualified and available candidates and presents these to the director - who then makes his/her selection and has final approval. :cwink:

I am guessing they go way younger but... Josh Holloway?

I would be good with Joel E as Trevor. Surprised that Eastwood is not Trevor though! He would have worked.

Not unless the studio/prodcuers/director already has someone in mind for a role.

So they just bypass the casting director in those instances.

Does this “confirmation” have implications for the theory that the WW solo movie will be set in the 20s or 40s? If Trevor is a modern character (in Suicide Squad) then he’s obviously not around in 20s/40s. But if he is going to be in the solo movie, that means it’ll be contemporary. Yes? No?
:hmm

sorry just saw this. well IF Scott is Steve Trevor and he's in present day Suicide Squad then i guess he wont feature in the period piece for the Wonder Woman movie.

BUT with Mclaren gone who knows whats the current state of the movie. for all we know the period piece idea walked when Mclaren did. other than the talking Tiger issue, who knows what else Mclaren was insisting on that WB said no to? i'm still crushed by her leaving, but then Edgar Wright (whom i adore) was forced out when he insisted what he wants for Antman then perhaps that was for the best if what he wants doesnt fit with the MCU big picture y'know what i mean? mightve been the same with Mclaren and the DCCU plan.

im surprised this is coming out now, after Jenkins was announced. Jenkins no likey the Son of the Eastern woodlands? how does that impact Scott's role in SS, and SS as a whole? i guess if they're recasting for Trevor, Scott's role switches to.... Nemesis?

I don't believe Eastwood was ever up for Trevor. That was rank speculation on fan's and "scoopers".

Certainly I believed that rumor 100% but Variety said that he isn't Steve Trevor and that's good enough for me. Obviously that rumor was false just like the rumor that Joe Manganiello was this close to being DeathStroke.

I still cant wait to find out who the four are. I have no doubt Patty has seen auditions even tests opposite Gal.

What? They aren't recasting Trevor. He was never cast. Scott's role doesn't switch to anything.

Yes. I want to know who those 4 actors are who are being considered.

Eastwood is somewhat reminiscent of Chris Evans sometimes. That Cap look would actually be quite suitable for someone like Steve Rogers Trevor and would be appropriately heroic.

Liam Hemsworth is too young to play Steve Trevor.

Interesting that Eastwood is up for a 3 pic deal.

Possibly Hal Jordan??

With these other two rumoured, I still am praying for Eastwood.

No. Steve Trevor in SS, WW and Justice League.
I have to believe.

But more seriously... if he was Hal, it'd have to be 4 movies. SS, 2 JL and GL.

Yes. However, it said the role in SS is a smaller role and he is signed for 3 films currently. The report also said WB's sees him as an up and coming star.

In SS, Hal could be basically introduced in that smaller role and than he would come in to play in JL1 and JL2. By

Between JL films WB's can always decide to sign him to the GL Corp film due in what 2019 or 2020? By the time 2019/2020 come around, Eastwood should be more well known without a doubt.

If Eastwood is not Trevor...he is Hal IMO. He freakin looks like Hal also! He is either Trevor, Hal or Nightwing.

I hope Steve Trevor plays an important role in the DC Cinematic Universe, which will make me a happy fan.
