And regarding Pine's Star Trek commitment, I'm thinking that since WW doesnt hit until 2017, the WW team has the luxury of delaying filming a month or so to accommodate Pine. Of course that depends on when Gal must report to work for JL.

I think Star Trek is going start filming next month and Wonder Woman I believe won't start until Fall and I suspect they'll be able to film scenes without Pine first before he becomes available.

WW could always shag 1940s Steve Trevor Sr and then decades later shag his son, Steve Trevor Jr, in modern era. That's what Lynda Carter did, at least.

You're right, it's just I have no idea how long a Trek flick usually shoots and I also don't know when this fall they want to start filming WW. But again, seems they have leeway and I'm sure they'll be able to make it happen.

Pine's not the lead in Wonder Woman so he can show up a month into filming. Only if Star Trek has problems and goes over schedule could I see an issue but I doubt that will happen.

I wonder if Pine were so successful in the role whether WB/DC would ever consider a Steve Trevor spin-off movie or series of movies. It wouldn't necessarily have to be a strictly superhero franchise but just a military/spy thriller thing like Bourne or Jack Ryan (if that's even going anywhere at the moment with Pine). Could pull in audiences who might not watch comic book movies but would watch spy thrillers, with the benefit of it being set in the same universe.

even if its not the actor initiating it, somebody from his team might manipulate it that way. im not saying this will happen, only wary of the likelihood that it could happen.

because like it or not, Hollywood has a more solid track record for manipulation than altruism if you know what i mean.



anyway yeah, this put even more pressure that Star Trek get it right and finish on time.

Pine isn't a big enough star, no matter how many times Hollywood has tried to make him 'happen', for anybody on his team to try that. Now if Will Smith was playing a race bent Steve Trevor I can see that concern being legit.
