  • He will rock!! Just look at that couple!

  • Don't like the casting

  • I expected him for some other role

^^ He dyied for Star Trek tho. I think his natural hair is perfect to differenciate it from Kirk tho.

And for the ones that think Pine could overshadow Gadot in terms of popularity..

Did Amy overshadowed Henry? No? That's what I thought.

What's the problem with having a more popular actor for the supporting cast than the protagonist? That's common for CBMs, actually.

As for my own comment, I'd like if he dyed his hair like this:

Also, bearded like this:

Gal wishes she can cry like this. :o

He cries when he's not acting.. Imagine when he tries it :o
Bow down before black ZOd!
Nevah!

Lois is in the JL film, and in the modern comics Trevor is a liaison for the U.S. Government and the League... Could Pine if he takes the job, also end up in JL film too?
This!!!!
Possibly, especially if they take inspiration from New 52 Steve Trevor. I also suspect Amanda Waller will be in it as well.
And This!!
Interesting...
Oh... not again. Another man crush of Sawyer!
IKR? :loco: Who knows who WB might pick for GL. They could race-bend Hal Jordan and give him Kyle Rayner's characteristics........Which I wouldn't have any problem with. :o
Me neither :o
Oh dude I am impatient as well, I won't be totally happy until Wonder Woman starts filming to be honest.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Pine's Star Trek commitments don't get in the way of him taking the role. I do not want another Tom Hardy situation.
Just confirmed it already Warner!!! I don't want another Viola Davis confirmation from the actor/actress
And regarding Pine's Star Trek commitment, I'm thinking that since WW doesnt hit until 2017, the WW team has the luxury of delaying filming a month or so to accommodate Pine. Of course that depends on when Gal must report to work for JL.
They started pre-production weeks ago
I think Star Trek is going start filming next month and Wonder Woman I believe won't start until Fall and I suspect they'll be able to film scenes without Pine first before he becomes available.
Agreed.
Pine's not the lead in Wonder Woman so he can show up a month into filming. Only if Star Trek has problems and goes over schedule could I see an issue but I doubt that will happen.
Lets hope the best for this.

Hmm...

"straight offer?.. which means they offered him the role first without a screen test, at meeting production execs (read movie director and producers) and Gadot were present ?

In the meeting the production execs and Gadot approved him, which got the nod from the Studio. I feel the movie is moving forward much faster, I expect some more announcements soon.

I also screentested with Gadot but was strangely unable to utter any words. I didn't get the part but they said they'd call me if they needed someone to "stand around and look like an idiot"

What f***ery is this?

I saw that a while ago and it made me ****ing livid. Every single thing about that sentence is sexist garbage. Wonder Woman has a pocket book because "Women hur, hur, and Men aren't supposed to play second fiddle to those icky girls!" **** that pig.

It's like, God knows your career is never more dead than when you're cast to play the supporting role/love interest. See: Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway...

Get back in the kitchen and stop ruining the potential of these young actors, female heroes!!! :argh:

The man is a sexist scumbag so reason doesn't factor into his analysis.

I will never understand men who are as insecure as that moron who wrote that article. He must have hated Fury Road. I would never **** with an insecure man. Never.

Agreed, the writing of that article is beyond dumb. That writer is clearly a moron. Also no one has said pocketbook in about twenty years.

Here's just a PARTIAL list of actors and actresses who have played SUPPORTING roles in CBM's over the years, often to actors who were much less lknown than them:

Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Sir Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Heath Ledger, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Sam Rockwell, Sir Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Mark Strong, Michael Clarke Duncan, Geoffrey Rush, Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, William Hurt, Tim Roth, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Samuel L. Jackson, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaacs, Mr. Eko from Lost, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, ROBERT FREAKING REDFORD, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

So please, tell me again how taking on a supporting role (or villain) role is a "step down" for an actor again? Besides, Pine still gets to play the lead, or one of the three leads at least, in ST.

Solid casting and a good catch by WB's and Jenkins in getting Pine as Trevor. He has name recognition and is continuing to grow as an actor with range and versatility. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pine in WW as well as in a JL film.

Looks like he won't be Hal Jordan/GL however. Eastwood as Hal and Common to be teased as John Stewart in Suicide Squad?

Hmm....

I expect this type of casting to continue with WW and even in the Aquaman film. Surround the lead hero actors with established known acting talent much like what was done in Man of Steel and previously in Batman Begins.

Pine's natural hair is perfect and he should stay away from dying it for WW. No need.

BTW to the few folks saying Pine is not a box office draw. box office draw. Pine has done rather well as the lead in a popular reboot of the Star Trek franchise at the box office for the past two films and will also do well at the box office for the 3rd film more than likely.

I bet the meeting included a screen test.
That's nicer :)

Assuming Pine is Trevor, do you think they will dye his hair blonde, or won't care about that? And what do you prefer?

I don't think they'll fuss too much over his hair. They might even leave it up to him.

Personally, I'd like him to dye his hair blonde, just to switch it up a little. A lot of traditionally blonde characters are played by brunettes.

Also, beard or no beard?

Beard.

Light shadow style beard yes.....blonde dye job...no IMO.

I loved the pic in this thread of Pine as a blonde (with Gadot). It'd be a nice contrast between the characters, both visually and to show they come from different cultures. Plus, the DC verse doesn't have a lot of blondes so far. Also, I'm thinking WW would find a bit of stubble quite sexy on Trevor's face.

It wasn't said in the article but I just assume they did an on camera chemistry test.
Yep I think the same... that must be what make Gadot and WB wanting him more.

stubble yes, the hair? blonde or natural, whichever they want, I'm OK. It's a minor detail.
