If only they would re-make it, but there is more chance of Fox admittin they made a huge mistake and giving Bryan Singer $500 million to re-make the whole trilogy. In other words no.

Does anyone think Fox executive meeting for comic book movies goes something like the Orange adverts before each movie here in the U.K. "Were gonna make the fourth in the trilogy." Ha ha i think i am onto something here.

The movie shouldn't be remade. That was it, either he liked it or not. We'll just have to wait for the sequels to see something else.

im glad im getting a lot of back up on this topic. im glad other people can see how bad and how much of an insult this was comapre to singers Xfilms. ad to the guy who said peopl see these movies for action should take that back. what made u like the first 2 movies. dont say the action because the drama was more in your face than the action. and no offesne to singer because he made two great x men movies but his action isnt breath taking. its his storys that kept me hooked. thats what he does. now think about thwat he could have done with the cure plot and the dark pheonix plot. i doubt singer would have turned jean grey into the next jason vorhees. and he wouldnt have killed cyclops or prof.X after we get to know little things about them in the first 2 xmen films. there is muh more to learn about each of them. i think singer might have killed off jean grey. not sure. night crawler would have been back for sure. even if beat was brought in. mystique and magneto wouldnt have been cured and he would never have made rogue take he cure. that goes against the morale of the story. dont change who you are, you dont have to.duh. also singer would take us back on his emotional ride as he did with x1 and x2. also he wouldnt have brought new ****ty villains and wouldnt have casted vinnie jones as jugger. singer should kick attners talentless ass.

i know some people might think im going to far now but if so many agree with the idea of a re-make i think a petition should be made and then after a while it should be sent to fox. i will only begin the idea if people agree tho. wat u all think?

also now that marvel are funding there own movies wouldnt it be great if they bought back the rights from fox with the money they will rake in from spidey3,ff2,ghost rider, blade series and funded the re-make. they would do it if they have enough respect for the material they have. dreaming is such a tease.

After seeing this X3 I would want to know how Vaughn's movie would have been like. To see if it holds up to Singer's.

pretty much like that.....starting X4 with Cyclops having a nightmare(X3).......is interesting, but the best option is to wait for Singer to take X4 and redeem the series, there are a lot of plot holes to fill (Cyclops, Xavier, and Jean) and X4 will be the solution.

The question is: what exactly do you think Singer would have done with X3? I certainly think Cyclops would have lived and been a more central character, not the main character, but definitely with a larger focus. I also think the Phoenix storyline would have been more true to the comics with the Hellfire Club and whatnot (Singer wanted White Queen). I could see Xavier still dying since it was kinda foreshadowed in X1, and I think Magneto would have died along with him in order to mirror the deaths of MLK and Malcolm X. And Jean's death would have probably been similar to what Harris and Dougherty described in their commentary, with Scott breaking through to her and her letting him kill her with his optic blast. There would be no cure storyline, Phoenix would be the main plot. And even with Fox's reluctance I dont think it would have mattered since, as Kinberg said, Singer had gained a lot of power after X2...so Fox would have been much more leniant.

^...he would've developed the cure thing much, much more... how EVERYONE'S affected by it *coughs*beastvswolverinefightscene*coughs*

You will be dissapointed....:)

Ahh sh#*...nevermind..who was that guy on my computer that just typed that!!!

I love it when new kids get aroused by comments from other posters whom they don't know the gender of. Great stuff. It has happened before on here. Back to topic...X3 will never get re-made. That idea is just completely dumb.

can't you tell by my avvy that I'm a guy who's got the hots for Dr. Jean Grey? ;) Look at her... they could make a movie out of my avvy. lol haha.

i didnt see why FOX just waited until singer was done with superman and then he can pik up x-men again.......im one of those people who try to love every comic book movie made so far (looking at the positive sides of the movie) but x3 was just awful, some scenes was god and all but it just sucked

^^^ due to Politics. When singer went to do Superman, he left because FOX was feeding him lines and giving him the runaround. He went to a rival studio. I doubt both studios would let him make films that competed against each other. that's also why X3 was released when it was released: to come first before Superman Returns. Ego wars sure are ugly
It's funny because in several interviews done in May of 2003 Singer answered "I don't know. I'm probably going to do some other movie before that. Don't know is it big or small, but I'm gonna something else." if someone asked about X3. It ended being big; SR.

At that time he was heavily attached to do Logan's Run. That's also in WB lot. And I remember Lauren Shuler Donner saying in one interview regarding X3: "We are doing it. With or without Bryan." or something like that.

Scene: A bedroom. It is morning. JEAN GREY is in bed. We can hear the shower running offscreen.

JEAN awakes with a start, and then looks around the room, confused. She gets up, and walks over to the bathroom and opens the door. SCOTT SUMMERS is in the shower, wearing ruby-quartz goggles.

SCOTT: "Jean? Jean, what's wrong?"

JEAN: "I had this terrible dream... I killed you... then I killed the Professor... then I went all 'Carrie' on hundreds of people... then I confessed true love to Wolverine... oh, Scott, it was awful!"

SCOTT: "There, there, Jean... it was just a dream... everything's okay..."

And there you have it, Dallas fans, the opening scene for X-Men 4. :) Plus - who shot JR? I mean Magneto? Who shot Magneto?

It's perfect!!! You managed to fix the atrocity that was X3 in 5 lines of dialogue, except for one little problem...

Jean is still supposed to be dead. That part definitely wasn't a dream. But even if Scott just had that dream, then it would help clarify things. It would also make it very interesting!!!

Suppose everything that happened in X3 Scott was dreaming about, then wakes up and realizes he's right back where he was, and he keeps getting those messages from Jean calling out to him. I think that this time around if he went to Alkali Lake he would be REALLY paranoid. Seeing Jean rise from the lake, the poor guy would be totally freaked out and paralyzed! She comes over to him and he's trembling with fear, a single touch from her finger and the guy nearly passes out begging her not to kill him and she'd be wondering what's wrong :)

"Jean, it's all right. You're driven by compassion and humility. There's no way you could ever become the monster you saw in that dream."

"I know my love, it's just... it's those writers you know..."

Scott: "But Jean, in that dream, the part about Wolverine... you didn't kiss him, did you?"

Jean: [bites lips]...

Scott: "You did kiss him, didn't you?"

Jean: "It was just a dream, right?"

Scott: "It may have been a dream, but I'm still gonna kill Logan for real"

:D

I wasn't trying to bridge X2 or anything, I was just riffing off of the legendary scene from Dallas where they fixed the killing of a major character (played by Patrick Duffy) by having his girlfriend wake up find him alive in the shower and exclaim "It was all a dream!"

haha, I get it now. Still it's a brilliant, simple idea. I'd buy that!

BTW, did the Dallas production staff do that due to bad fan reaction to the char's death?
