I've never seen the Hitman movie. Is it something I should avoid?

Never been more excited for a game in my life. C'mon Nov 20!

Yeah, the game looks amazing. As a fan of stealth and trickery, the footage and information is right up my alley. This will be my next purchase.

Pat, do they have any plans on releasing Sniper Challenge on its own? Or does it come with the game?

Or is the only way to get it to pre-order?

Ya know I'm not sure on that. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point it unlocks within the full game but then again it could just be a stand alone mini game much like the Fable Pub Games were. I haven't heard one way or the other

This is an interesting interview with Tore Blystad, the director. They touch upon the amount of possibilities available to players in Hitman and how teaching modern gamers to improvise is quite difficult. We're so used to following the path set before use that any of sense of imagination as to how to solve a problem tends to leave a lot of stuff undiscovered.

I must admit, I played the hell of out Blood Money and there were still things I missed. I often like to find different ways to tackle problems in games, but the Hitman series offers so many different ways to improvise in each singular level it feels like pretty much anything is possible. "What if I try this?" and then lo and behold, it actually works- the developers at IO thought of it a long time before we did.

I can't wait to see what mad stuff they've come up with this time around.

Yea i remember playing through Blood Money and id spend my first playthrough on each map just kind of getting the layout, watching what my enemies did, then id perform my hits. Once i finished the game i went back and read some guides and was blown away that my hits werent the "best". I could of sworn i had the best path to each of my targets. Cant wait to repeat that with Absolution.

My favorite thing to do was to find that perfect spot, unpack my sniper and finish my mark. I am super disappointed to hear that rifle case wont be making an appearance in Absolution.

still not sure where to pre-order. the best buy gangster outfit looks cool, but amazon is more convenient. i don't like the high tech suit as much, though.

also, i'm actually hoping that they'll make it possible to kill everyone on the map.

i know in blood money, the only map that you couldn't do that was the new orleans map, which was the map i wanted to do it most in. the newspaper article the next day was crazy, haha.

Oh! I sure hope they're doing the newspapers again, or something similar. They got a bit repetitive but it was still an awesome feature. Any word on if Absolution has thing like that?

I dont believe they are.

I'm looking forward to executing some people with my silenced Hardballer.

Haha you and me both. Nothing better than walking up behind that unsuspecting mark and poppin them in the dome. So ready.

Hardballers are sweet, but I've been missin' me some fiber wire action. Awwwww yeah.

They havent been called Hardballers since Contracts. They're referred to now as 'silverballers'. Altho not sure why, its not like Hardballer was a made up name.

Any reviews yet?

Yea a few have snuck out. 9/10 from OPM, 9/10 from OXM, 8.75 in the new Game Informer. Im sure there are more to follow.

OXM goes on to call the game a triumph of stealth and sandbox design that retains "everything that fans have ever loved about the series".
