Hogwarts: Legacy - Open World Harry Potter Game

I think they are better off just focusing their resources on the sequel anyway. Hogwarts Legacy is 2 years old, already one of the best selling games of all time and broke a record for the year it came out. let it be, there is no need to re-release it.
Is the argument there is no value in adding addition content to a game because it would be more profitable to make another? Because I don't think that holds when it comes to cost.

The argument isn't that there is no value in adding additional content to a game because it would be more profitable to make another, but rather that resources are better spent on making another game rather than additional content. Especially since it has already been 2 years. If I understand correctly we're not even talking about DLC, but a re-release.

A DLC and re-release with the DLC. As much as I have wanted the game to fail, DLC would have been a success. Granted, I assume they wanted to switch to a new game to better WB it.

Given how much of an impact boycotts have been having for the past ~2 years, I was surprised at how successful the game ended up being.

What do you mean by the bolded, btw? To better wb it?

Microtransactions.

ohhhhhh. they're so prevalent in the industry now, I didn't know WB in particular was notorious for it

Yeah, they destroyed Multiversus with their new monetization scheme, and MK's monetiztion was real bad.

The crazy thing, would have sold a lot of extra copies on the Switch 2.
