I am actually at the job watching the THRILLA IN MANILLA documentary from HBO now.

LOL I watched that earlier. My dad came by for dinner tonight and we watched the entire Rumble in the Jungle fight.

A lot of reminiscing... we both went to the 1996 Olympics opening ceremony and saw Ali light the large McDonalds fry box Atlanta torch.

I was only 10 so I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have... and do now. I hope we still have the home video we made of it.

Reek's father lived outside the city, and Reek thought they would be safe there. His son was excited. He could see the Moderators from the car window. Reek told his family, "Don't worry. They're fighting in the BvS section. We're miles from harm." And the dust cleared, and the screaming stopped. It took Reek two days until he found their bodies. His father still holding his son in his arms... And the Moderators? They went home. He knew he couldn't kill them. More powerful men than he have tried. But if he could get them to kill each other... Reek's sorry about your father. He seemed a good man, with a dutiful son.

I saw a dead dog lying in the grass when I was young. She was an old ***** in life, but just a pup in death. I remember seeing the first flies set on her eyes. How strange it was that they looked so alive and yet did not move. That was the first moment that I wondered what going into that section would feel like.
