Homeland producers re-team for FX's "Tyrant"

Im still hopeful that Ahmed finds out that Jamal raped Nusrat. Jamal has got to answer for that ****. If he tries it again and Ahmed catches him its gonna be ugly.

Someone please deal with Jamal. He's completely off the reservation.

Jamal really ****ed up. That general will be his last ally as it appears everyone else in his inner circle are about to turn. I liked how the head merc turned down every one of Jamal's offer. I know he stated it was because he can't fight for someone like Jamal. But I like to think it was more about loyalty to Ramin. I liked that Ahmed also now sees that his parents are ****ed up. If he finds out about the rape. He'll kill Jamal.

Yeah, Jamal really needs to go. He's completely lost it. He never should have been a ruler in the first place and now he's putting his entire country in danger. I hope Ramin makes it out of this alive.

With only two eps left, i'm really curious to see how this season ends..and where they could possible go from here.

Hope it doesn't get canned.

I predict that the Caliphate will be brought down, Jamal will be ousted, democracy will come to the country and Barry will win the election. Then hopefully season 3 will pick up and we'll see Barry slowly turning into the tyrant.

Am I alone in thinking this season has been amazing? Also i have really grown to like Dahlia and I'm really starting to ship her and Bassam. She has been the woman behind the man this season. I'd just like to see that payoff in some way instead of her going back to her little village and taking care of her son.

So Molly, Dahlia, and Leila are all pining for Bassam. This could get messy.:hehe:

Awesome episode. I'm just pissed none of those attack copters targeted the brand new looking hummer.

The least Bassam can do is help get her and her son get to Germany to complete her studies. There's nothing left at the village for them.

Any of yall scared they are setting us up for a shock? They are making it look like Jamal will be outed and Bassam will be the new president. Im not sure its going to be that easy. Im afraid Jamal will do something desperate and end up killing his family or worse Bassam. Molly and Bassam thankfully have a military on their side but the preview just makes this seem like its going to go Bassam's way which makes me very suspicious especially in regards to Leila and Achmed's safety.

I could definitely see Molly or Sammy being unfortunate casualties during the "transition".

Good ep. My only complaint is that in the scene where Leila tells Achmed's that Bassam is alive, he has no reaction.

Does anyone know if this has been greenlit for another season..?

killing bassam wouldnt make any sense.

Why, because he is the star? Maybe. Maybe not. We dont know who exactly the tyrant will end up being. The title may refer to jamal, bassam, sammy, achmed or some other person who ends up in power. A lot of stuff might happen before this show ends and the writers might have plans that go beyond Bassam.

Im not saying Id like it or that it would be necessarily smart to do so, but depending on the writer's plans for the show I can't rule out the possibility that they might use a play from the GOT/Homeland playbook.

Wow, no comments after last night's episode? That last scene was a shocker! I did not see that coming.

I had a feeling about it at the start of the episode but the shooter was a surprise. It makes sense when you think about it though

Yeah, it totally made sense. Don't blame her one bit.

I knew something shocking was going to happen, I just wasn't sure what. Now we have to wait a year to find out what happens next!

With less than 5 minutes left I was waiting for something to happen. I thought Jamal giving a defiant speech was going to be it and then, boom! Seeing who did it was the big shocker but not surprising. Hope it gets renewed.

Yeah, I hope we get at least one more season. The way it ended though, I can see them ending the series. The audience would just assume that Bassam takes over.

Funny how there's little to no mention of Bassam's daughter. Is she away at college, living at home by herself, what...? Does she even know that Bassam is alive? Her reaction to that..?

I believe like a lot of you who did it was more shocking than the actual act. The other thing about that final scene was Leila's reaction. It really echoed something Ahmed said earlier in the season about justice in his country, that it can only be given in blood.

Yeah, Bassam's daughter has pretty much been forgotten. I hope she comes back; she's a hottie.

Bassam asked Sammy how the daughter was doing. Sammy told him she was doing good.
