Horizon Horizon: Zero Dawn

I'll be picking this up on Monday because that's what my email said to do. :)

I don't even have a tv 🙁. Just my PC monitor so I think I'll delay playing this unless the tv I want goes on sale next week

Nice! Is this an upgrade to 4K for you? If so, you're gonna be blown away! I love mine.

If you have Netflix, make sure you upgrade to their 4K account. It took me like a month to realize that was even a thing lol.

Yesh its my first 4k tv. I was going to wsit until the end of the year, but I got my taxes back and decided to go ahead and treat myself. Im going to pick up a PS4 Pro this weekend.

I upgraded my netflix to a 4k account after I placed the order for the tv. I cant wait to rewatch Daredevil in 4K.

It's amazing I really like the look of Hell's Kitchen at night in 4K
I just finished up a rewatch of Jessica Jones in 4K while recovering from surgery. It wasn't anything too special (in that there are better things to watch on netflix to appreciate 4k). I'll have to give DD a rewatch then.

I just read that this game will be Pro capable at launch, but that they are releasing a patch after launch that will allow the player to choose whether they want the extra power to be used on the resolution, the framerate, or a combination of both. The options seem to be:

1. 4k/30fps
2. 1080p/60fps
3. Dynamic resolution which adjusts the resolution on the fly unoticeably to maintain the highest framerate possible.

Or something like that.

Yeah a few Pro games have given similar options. And now the Pro will soon offer a Boost mode for non-Pro games. I like that we're getting options to fit our gaming priorities.

I hope this sort of thing gets even more customizable with the XBox Two and the PS5. Imagine console games having the extensive video and audio settings that PC games have. Thats what I want for consoles. It seems like an obvious step now that consoles are pretty much PCs themselves.

Read the post immediately above the one you quoted. Marvolo just got a 4K TV for the game and they're talking about what looks good in 4K (specifically Daredevil).
ohh I read that post too quick.

a lot of daredevil actually wasn't filmed in hell's kitchen. in both seasons parts were filmed in queens and josie's is a bar in east village

Yes, but it represents Hell's Kitchen within the show which is what they were referring to.

everything about this game looks great..it's sure to be a success, but I think I'll wait this and Me4 out. Persona 5 is right around the corner and I think that'll be the next game I binge after Yakuza 0.

I'll get this game when the price comes down

I'll be getting this and NieR: Automata which comes out the following week.

I tried the Nier demo and couldn't really vibe with it. I hear persona will be similarly gameplay widen to Digimon story cyber sleuth and will be in general a story heavy game so that's right up my alley

If I already had a 4K tv though I might've had a little more incentive to buy horizon at launch

Mine should be in the mailbox when I get up tomorrow.
