Ok so we all know how much the MCU will help the spiderman films as a whole if a deal is struck, but what I'm asking is, how can the MCU films and television use spiderman elements to contribute to their own stories?

My Ideas:

-I'd like to see a character in agents of shield, such as Mac or Hunter, take on the Agent Venom project prior to Flash Thompson's run.

-I'd like to see Oscorp rise in prominence through medical advancements as well as weapons manufacturing (the business that Stark Industries abandoned)

-I'd also like to see the Iron Patriot armor currently in the possession of James Rhodes to be given to Norman Osborn.

Any thoughts? Don't be afraid to think outside the box! :yay:

Things aren't going to be simple anymore, are they? :waa:

I'll miss the days of Pete missing MJ's plays and having a jolly ol knees up in clubs with Gwen :waa:

And the mid twenties emo phases :waa:

I'd still want the Spider-Man films to be largely separate from the goings-ons in the MCU.

- Have OsCorp be an entity throughout the MCU...leading possibly to HAMMER (Osborn can be a universal bad guy)
- Have Spider-Man hop over for Infinity War (though I don't need him to be a regular Avenger)
- Maybe cross over with Daredevil (Kingpin, in the very least, is a must!)

But, otherwise, let Spidey do his own thing. Have him fighting against all odds and wonder why Thor never shows up when he needs him. Or read the Daily Bugle and ask why his name gets dragged in the mud but people love the Hulk.

His mythos can bring so much to a film franchise in their own right--I don't want it to all get bogged down in crossovers and MCU seed planting.

I want his films to be aware of the MCU, but not necessary driven by it.

Ah...so you're a lady?!

Well, I'm a guy...if that does anything for you? ;)

:D

In the first Avengers film, they've set up the idea that "every world will know it [that the Avengers are dangerous]". By the end of Phase 3, I'm assuming the team's reputation would skyrocket both on Earth and in space, reaching its peak after beating a threat like Thanos.

Phase IV should start with being all about legacy. This could potentially include Avengers Academy, Runaways, Nuhumans popping up everywhere and of course...Spider-Man. Have Peter Parker become Spidey in a post-Thanos world, where professional adult superheroes exist, and show how that relates to his underdog status.

As much as I love the Lee/Ditko era, I don't think it works as well to have Peter be one of the first superheroes to debut. I'd prefer if he debuts after the main core Avengers. Of course, the original comics still worked in context due to the FF having been the already-established celebrity team. However, that wouldn't work in the MCU because 1) there's no FF and 2) the Avengers have essentially replaced that role in the context of this universe (and it works just as well IMO).

Wait a mo...

Since all the heroes in the Marvel Universe are known and aren't secret -where does that leave Peter?
Everybody is going to know he's Spidey? :wow:

Yea, just replace the Fantastic Four with the avengers as his idol figures. I like that!

And him growing and becoming one of the world's greatest heroes in a post-superhuman world would go a long way in terms of telling an underdog story! (Spiderman is the world's greatest underdog story!)

That'll depend on how Civil War plays out, and the ripple effect it'll have throughout the MCU (including the MCU TV shows). I don't expect Daredevil to suddenly be like "Hey guys, the blind lawyer from Hell's Kitchen has been Daredevil all along" lol

I'm a fan if the theory that Civil War will lead to secret identities in the mainstream due to registration enforcement. I think that's a natural way to bring secret IDs about

Interesting idea.
