How close have you come to .............DYING?

Was in a car wreck where the car I was the front passenger in ran a stop sign and hit the car crossing the intersection in the rear driver's side door. It caused that cat to flip onto it's roof and killed the passanger sitting where we hit it. Had we gotten to that intersection just a few seconds sooner, they would have hit MY door at about 60 mph, and I would not be posting this right now.

Then there was the time when I was 13, developed diverticulitis and ended up with a ruptured intestine.

Apendicitis on my teens ( 14 yrs)... nothing big.

My sister feed me with bubble gum when I was less than a month old, gotta go to the hospital. since I knew the story I joke with my sister about her trying to kill me as a babie. ( she was 2 yrs old then, nothing on purpose.)

How do you know? Two year olds are mean bastards.

I know... she used to ask my mom to throw me to the garbage when she was lactating me.

Edit:(When my MOM was lactating me, not my sister)

Reedit: (When I was lactating my mom).

I was 10 years old... Riptide...

Would be a goner if some guy would've not listen to me screaming. I was pretty far from the shore

Back in junior high school I got a concussion and was sick for a few weeks. One night I had a 104 degree temperature and had to go do the hospital. After that I passed out and had one of those "out-of-body-experiences" which I remember pretty vividly. I woke up on the other side of town (I live in a small town, 3rd oldest city in the U.S.) and I noticed that the people who were walking around were wearing different time-period clothing (from the late 1800s up until the late 20th century). My ma's old boyfriend who passed away was next to me, although he didnt really have a body, a little hard to explain I guess. He was more of a light but I could tell it was him. He took my wrist and was bringing me up to the sky up to this huge bright light, there was this big flash as soon as I reached it, then I came back down to the ground and woke up.

I think that experience led me to believe that there is life after death, I know science could disect that anyway they would like but it was pretty moving for me.

(I don't actually remember any of this, I've heard it all second hand from my Mom). When I was about 3 years old, I played on one of those giant tilling machines. (My mom was busy looking after my baby sister and I must of snuck out). I slipped and fell on one of the blades and cut open my head. I went to the neighbour and told him I had fallen and hurt my head. He told me to sit under a tree until my head felt better. When I sat down I reached up and put my hand on my head. I brought my hand back down and saw blood. So I went to my mom and said "Mom, I'm bleeding" then apparently I fainted. Mom drove me to the hospital with baby sister in the car. At the hospital they put stitches in my head and told my mom that if it had been just a little deeper, I would have been dead. (They might have told her that as a caution so she wouldn't let me out of her sight next time).

I nearly drowned once, while swimming in a lake in New York :csad:

I was bit by a brown recluse. I don't know how close I was to dying...but the bite got pretty bad. The docs took a chunk out of my forearm. And all this crazy pus and ****. It was something to watch, I'll tell you.

And being a Marine had nothing to do with it? :csad:

one time I got drunk... really freaking drunk, so drunk that the moment I closed my eyes I felt like I was spinning. Well I had a friend drive me to my room and I went to sleep. Later on I woke up and got out of bed and started walking to my kitchen, but I turned around and looked at my bed and I swear to god im not making this up, but I saw myself sleeping in my own bed, then I saw all my family members gathered around me I was like WTF!!! I started running and screaming 'NOOOOO!!!' then I jumped into my own body and woke up.

It was the craziest dream I ever had, I think I had an out of body experience.

My buddy got bit in the back of the head by a brown recluse, god that think looked nasty. He was on meds for about a month.

Swallowed a penny when I was little, got stuck in the windpipe.

Also when I was born, the umbillical cord was wrapped around my neck, which was a major problem obviously. I've had more surgeries and **** over the years, I tell you.

****, on the head? I count myself lucky it was on my arm then. I was on medication for some time, and I had to ****ing re-pack the wound every couple days so it wouldn't get all full of pus and **** again.:down

That was not enjoyable.

Car wreck. I was driving a 92 RX7 in pouring rain. I was at a stop sign and started to go. A Chevy truck came speeding through at 60 mph in a 30. He hit me squar in the drivers side door. My car flew over two lanes and a median. I had so much momentum that a hit another car parked in an IHOP parking lot. The impact had pushed my seat almost completly on top the passenger seat. The fireman had to use the "jaws of life" to get me out of the car. I suffered a broken collar bone, glass all over the side of my face, and a concussion. It took me months to even remember the week before the accident. Due to the concussion , I was not able to take pain medication for the collar bone. If I was not wearing my seat belt, I would of died. On a side note. The driver in the other car was not the owner and they were not insured.

Brown recluses are nasty. :down

I almost drowned when I was 12. I punched a lifeguard in the face when she tried to save me. :csad:
