• Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version.
  • X/Twitter

Due to recent news involving X, formerly Twitter and its owner, the staff of SuperHeroHype have decided it would be best to no longer allow links on the board. Starting January 31st, users will no longer be able to post direct links to X on this site, however screenshots will still be allowed as long as they follow Hype rules and guidelines.

    We apologize for any inconvenience.

How do you break up with someone who...

Do they have family / friends that live nearby? If so, then arrange for them to go and live with those friends or family. (Call them up and say something along the lines of, "do you mind if X comes and spends some time at your place?") Don't offer any reasons why X would have to leave your place. Then, when X comes home explain "I think we need to spend some time apart, I'm becoming uncomfortable with our relationship, Y has offered to let you stay at their place for a while".

Whatever you do, CHANGE THE LOCKS!!!

I know a woman who broke up with her live-in-lover. She changed the locks so he couldn't get into the house. He broke into the garage and hung himself there. (If she hadn't changed the locks he could have killed her and her two daughters as well).

Oh yeah definitely change the locks.

...acts like you're the only thing stopping them from falling into an abyss of depression?

I mean someone who cries at the THOUGHT of breaking up, says "I don't know what I'd do without you," and asks to hear the words "I love you," 7 times a day. ("Do you love me? Really? etc.) Someone insecure who asks to be held all the time, holds endless discussions about their problems and how you're the only person who understands them....

PLus, - it gets worse -- you've been living together for 8 months, and you would feel bad kicking them out on the street.

What do you do??

your a dirt bag.

Actually is the neediness, insecurity the reason you are breaking up with that chick? Not that's not enough, I'm just curious.

Was she always that needy too? If she was, I don't know how you evencould stand dating her in the first place.

Ha, I actually love that b_f advice.

It falls under the "whoawaitaminute...I could have a real life sexslave? She's THAT nuts? Hmmmm....."
while still potentially being the nice guy by tricking her into falling out of love with you for finally "revealing" how "depraved" you are.

I could never actually do it, but that'd be hot if you did. lol

I had a girlfriend like that once . . . I dumped her. She went on to get married like 6 months later to the first dude who came along, basically  better him than me, I say

the thing is, these people usually have serious abandonment issues . . . and like so many others have said, it's your happiness or hers . . .

gauranteed once she moves on, you'll pry never hear from her again (at least that's what happened to me) *shrug*

Do it on Valentine's day.

Hilarity ensues.

It also begs the question of whether b_f has ever had a real girlfriend that he's had to break up with, co-dependent or not. Hookers that he's paid for sex don't count. :ninja:

If you care enough about the person, Red's advice is pretty solid.

If you don't, move on them ... without offering the forwarding address.

I want mind-blowing sex with women who look like supermodels not a "relationship" with some average chick..

I've had mind-blowing sex with women who looked like models and also wanted to have a relationship with me, and loved hanging out, and talking to me, and cared about me...for free.
I pity you.
