Honestly, those things are very likely not correlated at all. It may seem that way, though - especially since studies have shown that people who are feelings a certain emotion (ex, sadness, hopelessness) often recall more memories of that same feelings. So if you're feeling hopeless, you will remember all the times you felt hopeless and not remember the good times. Your brain will make it seem like you're worse off than you actually are. You ever watch hemlock grove? The show is a bit strange (though I enjoy it), but it had one of the best werewolf transformations I've ever seen put to screen since American werewolf in London.
