What effects and repercussions on the DCU do you want to see after Final Crisis is done? Do you simply want minor changes or retcons on characters? Or do you want a major rebooting and start over the entire universe?

Sad to say, but I want Final Crisis to dramatically cut back on DC's tie-in books, as much as I've enjoyed them. And as fun as it's been the last 3 years, I need to be able to cut back dramatically on my pull list b/c I'm getting married in a few months and can't devote that sort of investment without being completely selfish. :(

I'd like to see a return to families of characters. Before Infinite Crisis, the trinity had families of really strong characters that built up around them--Superman had Superboy, Steel, Matrix-Supergirl, and some others, Batman had Nightwing, Robin, Oracle, and Batgirl, Wonder Woman had Wonder Girl and Donna Troy. Now a lot of those characters have died, gone crazy, or been replaced by inferior versions, and the ones who are still around have distanced themselves from each other a lot. Nightwing and Batman are back to the strained relationship they had in the '90s, Robin is now a clone of Dick, Steel hasn't really been mentioned in any Superman books, etc. I miss the days when a big Batman event would have the whole Bat-family pulling together and relying on each other. I'd like to see some more of that.

"Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul" ftw

I'd assume. I didn't read it, so I don't know the details.

In Five of a Kind: Captain Boomerang/Nightwing, Bruce sends Nightwing and Boomer on a mission, ostensibly to test them for the team. He's really only testing Boomer, though, since he knows he doesn't want Dick on the team. So, basically, he winds up driving both of them away--Boomer because he's sick of trying to overcome his father's legacy and prove himself to everyone, Dick because he was disgusted with Bruce's methods or something. Basically, Bruce wanted Dick off in the first place because he intends for the team to get its hands very dirty, and he didn't want Dick in that kind of environment. Chivalric father nonsense.

kill kyle rayner, kill catwoman, kill manhunter, kill barbara gordon, kill everybodah!

I'm not really looking forward to that, but I'll probably read it in the hopes that it can restore some of what I liked about the Bat-family in spite of the current writers' (other than Dini) post-OYL stories, which made me drop almost everything from the Batman line.

:wow: :wow: :wow:

Batman allowing people to get their hands dirty?! I didn't know he had it in him??

He's not letting anyone kill people, which I'm glad for. Batman seems to be the last major holdout in that respect.

I'm not sure of everything. I think I would retcon Nightwing Year one, and reestablish Nightwing's history and reasons for leaving back to pre-crisis. I would also get rid of the Speed Force entirely because I always felt that Speed force was an excuse to ignore physics, something that really isn't necessary in superhero comic books, which by their very nature ignore some aspects of physics.

Wow, I hope you never get control of anything Flash-related. I think the Speed Force is easily one of the best things to ever happen to the characters.

And I think it's lame. Do all the strong characters in DC need a "Strength force" to explain how they can lift things. Is there a "Smart force" for all those hyper intelligent characters? And yes I know there actually is something called the "Strong force" in physics, but that has to do with the interaction between subatomic particles.

Strong characters are generally portrayed as ridiculously powerful to begin with and smart characters can build practically anything regardless of their field of specialization. For years, the Flash was laughed at because "all he can do is run fast." The Speed Force finally expanded on that and gave the Flashes more of the applications that mastery of kinetic energy would suggest. It leveled the playing field for the previously limited Flashes.

But I'm not trying to convince you. If you think it's lame, more power to you. I don't, thus I'm glad you're not in control of DC. :)

I'm with Corp on this one. The Speed Force rulz.

It'd be interesting at least if it was the FINAL crisis.
