Hi all,

Since the Superman movie was about trying hard to do good I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we talked about good deeds we’ve done. It can be big or small, even something like going to keep your nan company or getting your pets neutered so they don’t get in trouble.

My one? I organised a blood donation drive at work :-)

Awesome thread. We need more of these.

I do Superman character work for children at community events (Dave and Busters, street themed tent events, private birthday parties) and charity events (volunteer work for sick children). My next few community events as Superman will be a cooperate event at Dave and Busters this Friday (play games with Superman from 6p-8p!) and maybe Saturday at a street community event with other scheduled characters. It is extra busy for schedulers to book Superman for obvious reasons and I will be in the DCU suit. Will get no sleep, but got to fight the good fight. The last event of July will be the 27th with my charity volunteer organization.:legacy:

Although it wasn't this week as I've been off work. I work at a shopping centre as a guard. I visit a certain coffee shop every day to get my fix and there's a worker there named Helen who has a disability. I can see she often feels isolated from the other workers and they don't always treat her very nice, mainly the younger workers. So I always make it a point to sit with her for a while after getting my coffee to ask her how she is and about what's going on in her life. It's only like 5 to 10 minutes of the day. I often just don't like knowing that she may feel she's not cared about enough to just have someone talk to her like any other person. She's a nice woman.

That’s beautiful Man O Steel! I’m sure she really appreciates that.

I remember I used to volunteer at an op shop and the older guys always trained the younger people to be friendly and give people a smile because we worked with a lot of refugees and often we were the only human contact they had that day. It’s funny, it’s free to be nice but it means so much to people

I met my doppelgänger and pushed him in front of a bus. :o

Running on overtime shifts and working doubles with busy vacation season at work, I managed to make it to Dave and Busters last night to be their Superman with Superman game night! The children are so wonderful to the point I have to step away at times. Things get emotional for me when the children look at this noble character with joy and excitement. Suiting up and taking the time is worth every single second. Also, great feedback with Superman 2025. I urged families to see the movie again and again :legacy:

Yesterday, I saw an old woman trying to carry a bag of groceries in the sweltering heat while balancing on her two walking sticks. I carried her groceries home and had a nice chat with her. She told me she had Alzheimer's but that she was stable because of her medication. She said that luckily there's always nice people willing to help her, which made me hopeful.
