Which is why I think it'll be Robin. TV tends to be very predictable and clingy to the general status quo. Why introduce another permanent cast member when you can just keep the five ones you've got?

That was a bummer of an episode. It was really well done and you felt for Barney at the end. I thought the side storyline with Ted and Marshall being high was hilarious. It was some good comic relief to the seriousness of the Barney and Robin plot. At this point, I honestly don't know who will end up being Barney's bride. Could be Robin, Nora, or perhaps someone we haven't met yet. The way I took Ted's reaction to Barney at the end was that he was a little hurt that Barney and Robin were together. I'm eager to see the next episode and see what sober Ted's reaction will be. Maybe he will think it was a dream and then later finds out it was real when he talks to Barney. Either way, I think Ted will help him get over it until Robin comes to her senses. While watching the episode, I thought Kevin and Nora would make a good couple.

Same here I Wanted them together at the end was sad to see how it ended. I loved how Marshall and Ted's thing only lasted 2 min. I also like how Ted wanted to be there for his friend but didn't want to intrude as well.

i hope they get together to end their tales of trying to find love, get back to teddy westside trying to get his woman already. We know more about teds friends at this point.

I agree that they need to get back to Ted's story. They usually reserve his story for the season premieres and finales and the rest of the stuff in the middle is all about the friends...

That ending was heart wrenching.I felt for Barney.Robin only stayed with Kevin because it's the safe option.Barney is where she feels at home but true happiness scares her because she feels A.she doesn't deserve it and B.She thinks she'll just screw it up. At this point Barney is more mature than she is and knows what he wants.

I though it was interesting how Robin asked Kevin the same question she asked Barney, and she even said it the same way . Like it felt natural when she said it first to Barney, but after she asked Kevin, it seemed like she was definitely the one with the issues. Meaning she liked Barney and wanted him for a while, but not for the same reasons he wanted her, which seemed much more sincere since he was even willing to leave Nora for her.

I'm torn between thinking that Kevin is either a great guy or a guy who will let any chick he dates walk all over him... "No no no, I don't care what you did or who you did it with. I just don't want to lose you."

I don't see it either. He doesn't have the pathetic weirdo vibe like Ted sometimes has, when he bought the house and fantasized about his family, that went beyond creepy, and he isn't a womanizing ass like Barney. Still like they guys, but they have their low points.

Yup, that one pulled on the heart strings!

Feel heart broken for Barney, and it's so obvious that they are meant to end up together, so having to wait through another bump in the road of their story is really hard.

Thing is tho, I totally understand why Robin made that decision.

Barney did not answer that question well at all, and Kevin really did. It's hard not to look at that at think 'wait, what am I giving up by not giving this a chance.'

Still though, the whole run of the show I've never seen Barney that in love. Not back when he first started getting feelings for Robin, not when they were together, not when he fell for Nora or in that scene where he imagined going in and apologising and meeting her parents....

That was real, smack you in the face, heart on your sleeve kind of love... that's what made that moment so heartbreaking.

He kinda reminds me of that one boyfriend Phoebe had on Friends (who was also a psychiatrist, I think) who can't help but dismantle everybody and point out how flawed everybody is.

That's the major flaw to his character. He comes off a little annoying to me sometimes.

Basically Kevin is that guy that doesn't fit in but really tries hard to for his girlfriend.

Maybe *****e isn't the right word to describe him as a character.

Hated what he said to Robin it reminded me of that episode of Scrubs where JD tells Kym that he hopes to maybe love her sometime in the future so then Kym breaks up with JD, but Kevin was just the opposite of that so no resepect for that character and same with Nora aswell asking Barney if it was a one time thing

I like Kevin. He's a nice guy. But, inherently nice guys make for bland characters. Clearly, they're just setting him up to get hurt.
