The Kevin and Robin was doomed a therapist and patient should never ever date its like dating your proctologist . You don't date those people because you know where those hands have been. The therapist is more figurative of course.

Alot of people seem to want Becki Newton to play the Mother. Wouldn't that be something? The love of Barney's life starts out being Ted's girlfriend, and the love of Ted's life starts out being Barney's.

But then again, Ted would eventually have to meet her through Barney since it would be weird for her to be at Barney's wedding, so I doubt that will happen. I don't think we'll see the mother until the reveal in the series finale.

Yeah, I think the mother won't show up until the actual wedding and I don't think we'll see the wedding happen until the series finale.

If next season is the last, which I think it might and should be, it's going to be weird watching every episode and not think "just get to the finale and show us the mother!"

But I would assume that the majority of the show will focus on how everyone ends up where they're supposed to be, even though we don't really know how their lives turn out for the most part.

Doing that would just make it seem like an afterthought to me. They're forming this big mythology for Barney. I'd hate if they decided to keep Ted meeting the mother until the very end.

I think next season should be it considering Ted's kids will be born around 2015...if they're following the traditional route of courtship then marriage and then kids.

Well we know Ted meets the mother at Barney's wedding, so he is now a much more important piece to the puzzle than ever. Plus, if the Ted/Robin/Barney friendship is something that has to be dealt with soon, then that also makes her important, regardless of whether or not she is the bride. But Barney is the bigger piece since he also reflected the opposite of what Ted always wanted, so if Barney finds the life that Ted always wanted first, it should serve as a wake up call that Ted has sort of given up and stopped believing, which is what they alluded to in the premiere.
