So if the baby was conceived in August, does that mean that the season finale took place in September? I always though they tried to keep it up with real time so that it was actually May when last season ended.

Do you mean last season's finale? the show has always used flashbacks. which sets its apart, to me.

and if the baby was conceived in August, then it'll be born around May, which lines up with the end of the television season. so they can have the birth in this season's finale.

Yeah, I meant last season's finale. I'll have to go back to start of that episode to see if Ted says anything about the Summer, but I didn't think that they would end a season when it's September for them. Although it makes more sense to do it so that the pregnancy happens in May as opposed to February if they had stuck with the baby being conceived last May.

Wonder if they get it on and the call we see Barney getting in the season opener is Robin saying she's pregnant.

Barney's and Robin's relationship was just completely destructive, I would hate for them to get together again. I hope this is just a lame attempt at creating suspense for the final. Even if he doesn't get together with Nora, Barney and Robin is just a no go.

They've been teasing the flirting and all that, but that kiss doesn't mean they're necessarily back together again. It might be a one time thing. I kinda feel like they're going to have Robin break up with her boyfriend and have a hook up with Ted in a similar fashion.

Anubis is referring to what Victoria told Ted in the second episode about their group dynamic. Ted, Robin, and Barney hanging out together is kind of destructive and keeping Ted from moving on.
