How long should the Avengers go for? The film will not work if it's anything under two hours unless you just want Wolverine/X3 quality.

I think the bare minimum should be 2 and a half hours. Even then I still think it will be pushing it.

Personally, I'd love a 3 hour superhero epic. That way we have time to fit in and explore the plot properly, display huge action sequences without it feeling rushed and still be able to develop each main character significantly, including those whose debut will be in The Avengers (Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Wasp?)

Discuss.

I decent 2 and a half to three hours will be very adequate but only if the story calls for it. I can't stand when a movie or tv show carries on just to waste time.

Any longer than 2 hours and I struggle to survive in the cinema. But I think they'd have to go at least 2 hours, possibly 2 and half, with such a massive movie.

However long it needs to be.

Jesus, a film's length should have a negligible impact on its quality.

120-150. And by that I really meant no 120-135. But they should take as much time they think is needed to make a proper film.

2 hrs is the absolute minimum but hopefully over 2.5 hrs.

I would say 2 and a half to three hours. I could settle for less, but if it's under 2 hours I will become very worried.

I hope the pacing is good. I don't know about everyone else but movies feel a lot shorter or longer for me depending on the pacing.

Paced/ length like The Fellowship of the Ring would be perfect. obviously I'm not saying that they should follow the story line or whatever, but that had an excellent balance of exposition, character development, and action. It was long enough to get the full story in, but short enough and well paced enough that it didn't feel like a minimarathon or drag out at all.

It should be an epic 3-hour movie with good pacing and character development. If not, then I'd be happy with 96-minute movie without counting the minutes of the end credits.

At least two hours and anything above that is welcome.

2:20 minutes... a long Star Wars movie or something of the sort. 3:00 hours is pushing it. TF was pretty long and still had zero story and development. Not comparing the two, but something like LOTR is too much.

I agree with Fat Tonle. It should be long enough to establish itself and tell a good story, but it shouldn't overstay it's welcome. A movie should first and foremost be watchable and entertaining.

I'd say 135-150 minutes. No longer.

You don't need more than 150 mins to make an Avengers movie. I think this should run about 135 mins, and no longer than 140 mins. It should be as long as the story calls for, but I think for a cast of this size and a film of this stature, they need a bit over 3 hrs.

I'd say at least 2 hours but closer to 2 1/2. Anything less will feel like we've been cheated out of a proper movie. Marvel can't seriously only produce a 90 minute film after all these years of building up to it in these other movies. I don't want a Fox-lengthed movie (although X-Men 2 was slightly longer) where everything is severely cut for pace.

I also want opening credits like Iron Man 2 or Spider-Man had, not a cold open like Iron Man 1 or most of the other Marvel movies. I always find it exciting with a proper opening seeing the actors' names on screen, and in this case, with a stellar cast, it will be even more of an appetizer.

I think at least 2.5 hrs minimum. 3 hours would probably be pushing it a bit for the general audience. Maybe if they have a lot of stuff to work with they could split it in 2 movies (space them like 6 months apart). They probably won't do that, but with so many heroes to juggle, it will be a fine balancing act.

I don't want these movies too long. If they bomb you can skip over them & they won't matter as much, but if they are 3 hours long. That makes it a little tuff!

We all know & should be weary that every Marvel movie is not going to be great & repeat viewing will make the bad ones hard to watch over & over again. So i'm against anything over 2 hours for that reason. As a fanboy sure I'd love a 4 hour Avengers movie.

I'd say either two and a half hours, or split into two/three films. I don't want this enormous battle with Earth's Mightiest Heroes to feel rushed. So it may be a good idea to use the same villain/villains for 2-3 films so the war is long and epic :awesome::thor::im::bh::cap::awesome:

Give me a 2.5hr movie please credits not included.
