How should he do the movie?

  • A Spoof (Like Shaun of the Dead)

  • Like every other Marvel movie

  • As close to the comics as they can

  • I Don't care

  • I Hope they dont even make the movie

I LOVE both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and be ecstatic if Ant Man was done in that vein. Let Wright stick with what he does best.

Hot Fuzz with spandex.

What's great about Edgar Wright movies is that they're capable of being a parody of a style of movies without being too tongue-in-cheek, and also able to be a great and well-executed exercise in the style of that movie.

Let Ant Man be a straightfoward adaptation of the comic books, only let it be a little jokey. Do it seriously with out being self-serious.

Thats because they are not parodies.

Parodies are funny because they poke fun at genres. Wrights movies dont do that. They take their genre very seriously but inject humor, the same humor you can find in any random comedy. Shaun o the Dead is exactly what it says it is. A romantic comedy with zombies.

They are not spoofs! Funny genre pictures dont mean spoof
