Well, the good news is that Disney XD seems to be actively promoting Spectacular Spider-Man. The bad news is they seem to be repeating the first 3 episodes over and over again.
Any news on wether it got picked up for Season 3?

What are the promos for it like? Are they for the show in general, do they promote season 2? Do they promote a consistant air time? Or is it just for new (to XD) episodes on Monday.

I remember seeing something recently from Josh Keaton (the voice of Spidey) being bitter about the lack of promotion for the show.

Seasons 1 and 2 are on youtube, which is where I watched them both. I can't wait for season three to come!

this is easily one of my fav shows on tv and one of my fav pieces of Spidey media of all time. Altho, i never watched any of em on tv as i just dont really like sitting down to watch a tv show, i just finished watching all the episodes on YouTube. Anyone know when the full season 1 set is gonna drop?

in the dvd thread their is report from a poster here saying he works at blockbuster and they say a box set is due to hit some time in july. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

Clearly I am ignorant in this matter. I can understand how picture quality on live action movies and tv shows would be better, it might look like you're really there. But what's the perk for Animation? I can't really imagine this on Blu-Ray being much of an upgrade.

How endangered is this with being canceled?

I started watching it last week (I'm on season 1, episode 12 now) and I'm really impressed. The Lizard was awesome. The Green Goblin was great, too. He's similar to Joker from BTAS. I also like that we can have guns in kids' cartoons again. I remember the police had these dumb looking lasers in The Batman.

Hopefully it gets a few more seasons because it has a lot of promise. Sucks that CW dumped this. I guess it was too good to go along with whatever crappy anime they're importing. This would do great on Cartoon Network but they don't like showing cartoons anymore.

Hopefully so. Alot of us think maybe once DXD does start airing the season 2 episodes on their network and get ratings in for lets say first 3-4 episodes and if the ratings are stable and do nicely for the network. maybe we can have the news that dxd has asked sony/marvel for another 13 episode order. The only thing which is a big issue is how much more time it takes to get the order. Since we known production wraped for season two back at end of jan and all the crew were "laided" off. And the longer it takes for the call for more episodes the less likely it will be we can get all the key crew members back onboard.

i said this before it would be very disapointing to hear we get the order but Greg/other key folks are unable to return due to other commitments. Then someone less qualified comes in and wrecks the show.

Animation can certainly benefit. The lines are much crisper, colors have more pop to them...and that's just the picture. If they did a lossless DTS-HD Master mix on the set....oh baby!

some good news!
Greg Weisman has posted a note on his Ask Greg website. He says that Spectacular Spider-Man is doing great on it’s new home at Disney XD. Some of the ratings are up 279% in some timeslots.
Greg also mentions that Disney will start season two of the show on June 22nd so set your DVR’s. If you’re a Nielsen household, say you’ve watched it twice.

well I'm doing all I can by buying the dvd boxset. pity there is no blu ray version. watched hulk vs thor and the quality of blu animation is amazing.
