The Flash How would a version of the Flashpoint story work here?

I would rather see them do a version of Crisis on Infinite Earths than Flashpoint.

The Final Crisis that is teased in the newspaper the Reverse Flash brought to the present makes me think this is the huge over arching event they are planning.

If they introduce the multiverse in season 2 of the flash then they can set up a threat (maybe the anti-moniter or Vandal Savage in Legends of Tomorrow?) that will destroy ever single parallel timeline in the multiverse and all of the heroes team up to stop it.

I wonder if they would keep in Barry Allen's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths where he travels back in time to strike himself, giving himself powers but more importantly creating the speed force in the process.

Since the speed force is essentially the energy and force that gives all living beings the energy to move from the beginning of time to the end of time. Even though Barry creates it in the present, it exists throughout all time. If Barry never strikes himself, the speed force is never created and no living creature across time would be able to move, thus life would never happen.

At some point Barry allen NEEDS to go back and create the speed force, which I theorize is the reason Thawne was obsessively checking the future to make sure that The Flash still dies in the crisis in 2024 or else the speed force is never created.

Thats a hugely wild speculation but I would love it if they did the crisis on infinite earths event on the CWverse
