There is a wild rumor regarding Imamori Maya, a 19 years old actress who plays Sumino/Gozyu Unicorn (Black Ranger) in No.1 Sentai Gozyuger that she is having an affair with a 41 years old stunt actor for Gozyu Wolf (Red Ranger)
(the age gap is sooo far away, Omg!)


Don't know how legit the news is...but since the affair was already reported by Shūkan Bunshun (a weekly gossip magazine), I'm afraid this is real ...but still it is a rumor and I'm waiting for producer and the persons involved to clarify.

i hope its not true since recasting the pivotal character more than halfway through the season is never happened before, and I like her character a lot!

Update:
The suit and stunt actor for Gozyu Wolf /Red Ranger has been relieved, and already replaced starting from episode 30 onwards....while Imamori will still resuming her role as Gozyu Unicorn (for now, at least)

While things seems over, but since the news broke out, the production had to be put on hold until restarting again on september 22th to meet the schedule (because the series already reached more than halfway through the climax)...and the sponsors are extremely outrage over this, and there is still a possibility that Imamori would be forced to leave.

Guess we just have to wait.
Hopefully there will be a middle ground for the all people involved, especially for Imamori.

So many people are panicking. Its a rebrand. Apparently, the next series is already filming. I do wonder if this has anything to do with the rights still being a mess, and Toei wants to do with Sentai hat they are doing with KR Zeztz.

It is still a team heroes but they are just not going to be called "Super Sentai".

If I have to guess...I agree with Sithborg that maybe it has something to do with the rights with Hasbro. So they just rebranding it so they won't be called "Super Sentai" so they can stream it in the West like Kamen Rider now.

But deep, I'd like Sentai to be benched for a little while now...since they are already broadcasting non stop since 1979 (since Battle Fever J).
A temporary hiatus just like Kamen Rider, imo, will make the eventual revival feels like a breath of fresh air.

What I really want right now is for Toei to revive the Metal Heroes genre, starting with the revival for Space Sheriff series.
Sharivan and Shaider's Next Generation V-Cinema were great one-offs...I wish they make a series out of it.
