How would you do a JLA movie?

No Batman, if so a much older one separate from Nolan's...

This is instead of what they're,apparently, planning on doing now.

Basic Plot: White Martian invasion. This is the best wway, imo, to introduce the Martian Manhunter. Kind of like Independence Day with super-heroes, except much better.

Characters:
Superman (Brandon Routh)
Wonder Woman
Flash - Wally (Ryan Reynolds)
Green Lantern - Hal
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
Green Arrow
Black Canary

can someone please explain to me how Black Canary keeps getting attached as a main character

actually It was one of my idea's when I get older to work for WB

Cool, I hope you do it! I'm working hard to get in an advanced writing class at my school. I want a job at marvel doing the punisher or daredevil stories.

that sounds fun ya kno I also was making a portfolio for DC so ya never kno we might be able to do a Marvel/DC teamup someday

Here's how I woyuld do a JLA movie, starting with the characters.

It's all about tradition and respect. You have to have Hal Jordon as The Green Lantern.

I could care less about wanting to do something new or whatever, I've heard of rumors of Jon Stewart being in the movie, well that is just dumb.

This is the first time the JL will be on the big screen, and a very cool thing for them to be in a movie.

They have to be the main original characters...

SUPERMAN, BATMAN, THE GREEN LANTERN/HALJORDON, WONDERWOMAN, THE FLASH/BARRY ALLEN, AQUAMAN.

It's all about them. The animated series screwed up big time by not having Hal as the Green Lantern. Why, just because they had to pull the diversity crap? That is so dumb. It was the first time the JL were in a series that was handled very well and Hal got left out.

They need to stop with the race crap, concentrate on the characters and the story, not about putting what race in.

I'm tired of characters getting ruined by people trying to look like they're not racist, that's all it is, then good characters get screwed.

These characters are the main ones, they need to be in the movie if they want to put in other characters of a different race then do it in a sequel, or add them in, but don't leave out a great iconic character just to put in a black character.

It is not about race, just put in the heroes that matter that have been around for years, those who were the first.

I'm so happy New Frontier will be doing it right. Barry and Hal will be in it. Glad they did not change it from the comic.

See I want Barry in the JL movie too, it's not that I'm saying I want Hal in 'cause I don't want a black guy in it, I just want the original iconic Heroes.

I see you had a nice little John Stewart rant in there

LOL, so true. Hal needs some love too, you know. :woot:

That'd be awesome! Of course we both know who'll win. Just take away Superman, the lanterns, Powergirl, batman, The Marvel Family(how ironic), and Hawkman and Hawkgirl, then Marvel might have a chance, lol! I also agree with Spider-Bat. I want Hal!

lol then we would have aquaman but I agree with him too Hal is my favorite but also he is most well rounded and well known well to me anyway my friends just call them the black one and the white one

Might be just me, but rather than go through this whole Hal/Kyle/John thing, what if Green Lantern is a young African-American hot**** pilot with elements of all three personalities?

Many a GL fan will be pissed.:woot:

And yes DDM: You'd have aquaman, lol. But that could be his chance to shine.

so what would they call him, Jal Raynart? ;)

even if it could work, it may screw the GL franchise over. keep the characters separate-- and start the movies with Hal Jordan.

That's the worst idea I've heard yet. Basically, since they cant pick between one, just scrap them all and make a new one? Might as well cast Jack Black.

The ideal situation for the solo movies would be to simply go in order. For Green Lantern, that means starting with Hal Jordan, later bringin in John as a sidekick/back-up, then Hal becoming Parralax and Kyle getting the ring. Alan and Guy could easily be left out, not too many people would miss 'em.

For Flash that means having Barry be the Flash, dying, then his nephew Wally taking his place.

As for the Justice League movie, since the whole point of it seems to be to increase popularity for these characters, it'd be kinda silly to put John in the JLA then make a solo movie with Hal.

Although there was one idea I had, where it would be either John or Kyle in the League, and at one point a large number of Corps members, including Hal, would show up (similar to Kyle's appearances on JLU). That way, if they absolutley NEED a black guy on the team, when the star of the solo film is suddenly a white guy, people would get it... hopefully.

I'm not entirely serious. Merely outlining the obvious absurdity of *****ing about which GL shows up. Because we all know it should be Hal Jordan. :)

OK I started seriously working on my script here's the team I'm using.

Superman
Wonder Woman
Green Lantern
Flash
Martian Manhunter

My villain is Despero, whom I'm writing similar to his JLU counterpart.

There's mention of the Green Lantern Corps, and a few of them might even show up ;)

That's right, NO Batman!

my version is without WW and batman!:wow: :wow:

My idea for a Justice League franchise is to use the classic human/DC-metahuman conflict storyline and develop a franchise around that with individual storylines. So basically, take the themes and tone of KINGDOM COME and THE NAIL, and put that in three storylines with a "classic feel".

I'm not interested in doing an origin story (everyone knows why superheros form into teams), so my JUSTICE LEAGUE script features an established League of Superman, Diana, J'onn, Green Lantern, The Flash and The Atom taking on Darkseid and the armies of Apokolips. Orion features in the story, as do Batman, Plastic Man and Aquaman.

A second script will feature a villain team-up (not the traditional one, but a far dangerous, more politicial, more JLA-centric version) and introduce more classic members in reserve fashion, and the third script will be a loose adaption of the Crisis, push everyone to their limits, and tie up some loose ends.

like what loose ends explain im interested.

Just loose ends that the first two scripts explore.

I'd start with the originals. I would not use luthor or joker because they are too associated with the heroes as individuals (and its well known the heroes could defeat them individually). I would use darkseid who the general public have no preconceptions and could provide big fight sequences. By the end I would show the expansion of the league JLU style and the building of the watchtower.
So its not that detailed but i don't think about these things that much

They could show it being built like the Deathstar in ep. III except instead of Vader next to Sidious its Supes next to Bats or something IDK.
