How would YOU reboot the Fantastic 4?

Lol thats not stopping him from doing john wick 2, just sayin.

i would get the marvel creative team to work with me in creating a original organic comic book movie that takes elements from the comic book !

Dan Harmon & Justin Roiland's Fantastic Four!
You Know, For Kids!

Doesn't mean it was a multi-picture contract, just that he signed a second contract for a second movie.
Exactly, a lot of the main marvel roles have 6 picture deals (which is a lot, well more above than the norm). He did John Wick which did well, he enjoyed it and agreed to a sequel. He might not want to do a third, or he might be all for it. The point is he has the freedom to decide. With a multi-picture deal he''s locked in whether he wants to continue or not.

I like Keanu Reeves, but I can't really see him doing "cosmic supergenius".

While I'm not in love with that casting idea, Keanu does have a fine sort of 'deer in headlights' / socially-awkward vibe that would fit some more recent interpretations of Reed well.

Granted, Keanu'd be hopeless as the Silver Age Reed, who was uber-confident and take-charge and kind of bossy.

I think Reed really should be a bigger 40+ name like Keanu.

Eh, its not so much that I require Reed to be square-jawed pulp hero. Its more. . . he needs to give a strong sense of understanding, like he is comprehending the world around you in a way most can't. He also needs to be able to sell some insane supergenius technobabble. I've not seen anything to suggest its really in Keanu Reeves' wheelhouse.

I would introduce them as an already established team of superheroes in the Avengers: Infinity War movie. I would use the scene from the Infinity Gauntlet comic where Captain America is looking at a screen of missing heroes and have them in it, like in the book.

Keanu as Reed seems like he'd be completely baffled by all the techno babble and would have a confused look.

Even though I'm unfamiliar with the Fantastic Four, I think, maybe for humor's sake, there could be some sort of in-joke acknowledgements of the past films- maybe the four say they were off on an adventure in some alternate universe with different versions of themselves. And they'd rather not talk about or go back there ever again.

Dan Harmon & Justin Roiland's Fantastic Four!

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind seeing Harmon involved with an MCU FF film. He's certainly demonstrated that he's got a good handle on group dynamics with Community, as well as science fiction with Rick and Morty.

something that i had from awhile back. used the Ult. line as the starting point for the story and the 616 for the characters.

Reed Richards works with Dr. Franklin Storm and his daughter Susan Storm on a new experimental space cruiser for interplanetary travel; The Excelsior: Project. At the first launch in California the project is sabotaged by a rogue agent. The Quantum Drive over loads destroying the ship with the four aboard and the Four are bombarded with cosmic radiation as well as being scattered across the world.

Moments later in Latveria, the Countess Lucia von Bardas, informs Dr. Victor Von Doom of the of the ships destruction. Doom gives her a location and tells her to send a team there and then comments that everything is going as planned.

Reed is found on the outskirts of the launch site but is as first thought to be some kind of creature and is fired upon. The bullets do not harm him and are sent flying back at the soldier. Moments later Reed reforms himself much to his and the others shock. Sue is transported into downtown LA but is completely invisible. In this form she causes a commotion as she tries to find her way to safety. Johnny finds himself in the middle of a forest on fire at first he starts to panic only to find that the fire isn’t harming him. Ben is found in Mexico, now fully transformed, but unconscious. Some children find him and bring adults to see him. Ben finely walks up chained up in the back of a truck with men pointing guns at him.

Reed and Dr. Storm track down Sue and Johnny and lastly the four of them track Ben to the Mexican village he was found by. They find that Ben has wandered off and find a few miles away. Ben attacks them angry for what happened to him forcing Reed, Sue, and Johnny calm him down. With everyone accounted for the four returns to New York City, to the Baxter Building. There the group is put into quarantine, by Gen. H. Warren Craddock, and examined. After they are cleared Dr. Strom and Gen. Craddock explain about the rogue agent and tell them that he was killed when the ship was destroyed.

They are also told that the ships pieces have been found all over the world and they need to find them because they are all giving off some degree of radiation. But that they are having a hard time finding all of them because up until then they have only been able to find the parts that were found and called in. Reed and Sue are tasked with finding a way of scanning for the parts of the ship.

Meanwhile a tech team finds the ships Quantum Drive but when they try to take it are attacked by unknown forces. The leader of the security detail with the team is able to kill one of the attackers only to find out that it’s not a man but a robot. Everyone on the team is killed with only him getting away with the remains of the robot. The rest of the attackers leave with Lucia von Bardas and the Quantum Drive.

Lucia von Bardas returns with the Quantum Drive and reports that one of the Doombots was lost. Doom becomes angry and tells her that if they trace it back to him it’s only a matter of time before they come for him.

Reed uses the ships Data Core to get readings on the energy signature and uses that to task satellites to scan for the pieces of the ship around the world. Now with a way of finding the ships parts Gen. Craddock tasks teams to find them. Reed and the others are shocked when they are confined to the Baxter Building. But the Gen. tells them that he needs them there for everyone’s safety.

Meanwhile the robot is taken to the Baxter Building for Reed and Dr. Storm to study. Reed finds that he has seen this kind of work before. Reed tells them that the design of the robot is based off his designs for H.E.R.B.I.E., and that the only other person that knew this was Victor Von Doom. But Doom had been missing for almost ten years.

Before Reed and Dr. Storm can do anything the building is attacked by Doombots led by Lucia von Bardas. The Buildings security is no match for them and is forced to fall back. With no one to stop them Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny battle the Doombots. The fight forces them all into the streets outside the Baxter Building, the four of them stop the Doombots but in doing so revile themselves to the world. After this Gen. Craddock and Dr. Storm tell them that they have known all along about doom that it was an agent of Doom’s that sabotaged the ship and that the Doombots hit more than the one team. Gen. Craddock again tells them that the four of them are to stay at the Baxter Building and that under no circumstances is anyone to go after Doom. But this time Reed and the others don’t listen and Reed hacks into government files on Doom and finds where he is.

Reed, Ben, Sue, and Johnny steal a jet and head to Latveria, when they enter its air space they are fired upon. The jet crashes into Castle Doom. The FF exit the jet and are attacked by Dooms army of Doombots. Meanwhile Doom watches all this on monitors as he finishes modifying the Quantum Drive. Soon one by one the four heroes are beaten and then all of them are taken before Doom himself.

The Four tell Doom that they know he was behind everything but that they don’t know why he did it and what he needs the Quantum Drive for. Doom tells them that he meant to kill them and make it look like an accident, that when they went looking for the remains of the ship all over the world they wouldn’t miss the Drive thinking it was destroyed like the rest of the ship. But that he didn’t factor in that it could have affected the four of them the way it did.

Doom then shows them what he has been working on. He tells them that with the Quantum Drive he can now cross over dimensions and starts up the machine. The Four then break free and attack Doom trying to stop him. Doom calls more Doombots and Ben, Johnny, and Sue fight them as Reed and Doom square off. Doom gets the upper hand in the fight until Reed shuts down the shields on the machine the portal starts to pull everything in. Sue puts a force field around the four of them and they watch as Doom and his Doombots are sucked into the portal. Then Johnny fries the machine shutting the portal down.

Later at the Baxter Building Dr. Storm tells Reed about Dooms childhood and how his mother was taken by a “demon” and that he had spent his whole life looking for a way to save her. He leaves a case for Reed, in it is four blue uniforms with a 4 on the chest. He tells him that they may need new suites. Reed brings them to Ben, Sue, and Johnny who are all reading the paper that has now dubbed them the Fantastic Four and given them code names. Moments later the Four of them walk out to a waiting crowd of reporters in their suits as the Fantastic Four.

Lets see how Fox & even MARVEL can make this bad

Johnny & Sue no longer brother & sister but in fact a married couple
Reed & Ben gay guys in love with each other
I guess Reed can be Bi so that he can also still like Sue & we get a love triangle

The new edgy Fantastic Four

Can't get any worse right ?

When the MCU gets the F4 back, Alice Eve is the only one I can see playing Sue. I will be disappointed when it likely doesn't happen. :(

I'd rather see Charlize Theron play Sue.

Alice Eve wouldn't be bad. I'd like Blake Lively as Sue too, as she has a warmth and bubbliness about her.

Charlize Theron would've made an awesome Sue back at the time when a Fantastic Four film was first being made. But I think she's a bit too old for the part now and should have a more regal/ authoritative kind of role now. She would also be a bit too imposing as Sue as she's practically an Amazon.

Same. I'm really hoping it happens and it's one of, if not my number one favorite fan cast. Definitely needs to happen.

I love Alice Eve as Sue. That's perfect

Mister Fantastic: John Krasinksi
Invisible Woman: Alice Eve
Human Torch: Dylan O'Brien (can't think of anyone else)
The Thing: Seth Rogen

Love Seth Rogen. Big fan of his...

Big no to him as Grimm unless he really shows some range

If in the MCU, I'd give each one a separate origin behind their powers, and not in a solo movie, their movie starts with them established as a team. If not in the MCU, I don't give them any power origin.

Tell you a little of the backstory for Ben, Reed, and Doom, mention Doom's arrogance, and he's the emperor of Latveria, but Doom won't be the focal villain of the movie, he will be just in bits of the backstory of Reed. All from their college days.
Reed and Sue are married.

Their villain will be the Frightful Four, Medusa will be one of the four, and it will tie somehow to The Inhumans.

They could use the Frightful Four to tie into the rest of the MCU:

2 villains from Fox: Wizard and Trapster (Paste Pot Pete)
1 villain from Sony: Sandman
1 "villain" from Marvel: Medusa

Sandman and Paste Pot Pete would tie into Spider-Man. Paste Pot Pete could even appear as a throwaway villain in an opening sequence of a Spidey sequel where Spidey makes fun of his name, prompting him to change it to the Trapster.

Medusa would tie into the Inhumans. Plus Spidey fought her when she was still an amnesiac Frightful Four member.

So part of a Spidey sequel (or sequels) could set up the Frightful Four if he potentially encountered Paste Pot Pete, Sandman and Medusa.

They could eventually come together under the leadership of the Wizard who would pit them against the Fantastic Four. It could also bring Spider-Man in to boost ratings since he would've encountered 3 of them already.

Ah, I'd rather Spider-Man doesn't get involved in the story.
