It's nice to see that Howard liked it, Ive missed listening to that sum b1tch. Had no idea he was a Superman fan either.
Anyway, Ive been reading alot of the posts in this thread and there still seems to be a battle going on between people who love or hate how this movie is looking. I have both something good and bad to say in regards to this. This IS the movie we are getting. It opens in a week and there is nothing anyone who hate sit can do to change it now. Routh is Superman, storylines from Donner's film are continued, Lex WILL have humor to him, the kid will be Supermans, etc etc.
Do I agree with all of this. NO. Personally, I would have taken a different creative direction. But at the same time, I have no problem with the direction this film is taking. It was safe to continue on from the Donner film, and I can respect the balls Singer had to bring his vision to life, right or wrong. This will be a GOOD, although again safe, film. I do wish we were getting darker, cold, coniving Lex, but when I look back at Joker89 and the Green Goblin, those villians acting like goofs didn't hurt the response to the film. Yes, Parker Posey sucks and I wish she wasn't in the film, but I don't think her part is big enough to take away from the film.
Will Brandon Routh mimic Christopher Reeve? To a point yes, I just hope he throws in a little bit of his own take.
What will truly show me the kid of vision Singer has for Superman will be the sequel, showing us things we don't already know.
