Days of Future Past Hugh Jackman IS The Wolverine Thread - Part 1

Oh sounds interesting! I didn't know there was a direct sequel :wow: I will check that out! I need my fill of traveling circuses after I binge watched Carnivale last month

There's a comic book store down the street from my office, so I usually go there after work on Friday nights. I had no there was an Origin sequel until I found it there one Friday. :wow:

He's definitely not leaving anytime soon. :cwink:

I never thought it would happen! Time to google...

He and producers have basiclly said they are looking for him to be able to
shoot Apocalypse and next wolverine back to back similar to him doing DOFP so soon after wraping The wolverine although he did squeze In prisoners before DOFP. He is already walking back the i am sure the next wolverine will 99 percent be my last one comments.

From some reviews they are saying DOFP unlike last stand Isn't just wolverine and that It's best use of wolverine since X2.

I don't get how Old Man Logan might be the Wolverine movie. Isn't that the far future?

They better give Omega Red, not another boring movie with Logan. I want Wolverine.

Yea, at no time did I feel Wolvie took the spotlight in DOFP. The first class cast hogged it to be honest haha.

I wanted MORE Wolvie.

It would be great if jackmans last wolverine film would be old man Logan, with him riding off into the sunset on a horse :)

Personally, I want one R-rated Wolverine movie where Jackman just drinks, smokes and tells all kinds of people to go f*** themselves. There'd be some action (bar fights), but mostly just telling people to go f*** themselves. I'd watch 180 minutes of that easily.

It also wouldn't make any sense as they haven't got the character rights for half of the characters involved. Plus, Wolverine has been used as the spotlight far too many times in my opinion.

When he came to our screening on Saturday, someone asked (again!) if he'd ever do an Avengers movie. He said, "**** yeah!" :funny:

Hahhah. Of course he would. And I'd whine "why do these crossovers exist" before proceeding to see the movie in question 700 times.

Wait you dont want Wolverine to be the spotlight in the next Wolverine movie??

I'd be amazingly fine if there'd be a movie where Wolverine was the only mutant.

It'd be dramatic irony. Wolverine, accused of absorbing the spotlight unto himself in X-men, now becomes a minor character in his own movie!

TWayneP or danoyse, does Wolverine have any proper Berserker rage moments in DOFP like he did in the X-Mansion raid scene in X2 when we stabbed that soldier to the fridge screaming at him in rage?

I know that Wolverine's character arc in the film is to have patience and to be a mentor to Professor X, but I would like to see at least one berserker rage moment.

What this posted?
Speaking to IGN on the red carpet at the X-Men: Days of Future Past Australian premiere, Jackman said he'd been re-invigorated by his latest outing as the character.

"At one point, you're right, I said I was pretty sure. But I'm less sure as it goes along. Because after seeing this movie, the whole thing feels fresher to me than ever. And during this movie...I don't want to spoil anything, but it's kind of like a clean slate, so who knows where it's going to go. As long as I have the passion for it, and the fans will have me."

Sounds like he's considering staying around for a while longer

i hope Hugh sticks around as long as he can

glad to hear he's reconsidered giving up the role

The thing in Hughs favour is that as he gets older he actually makes a better Logan, unlike other characters like a Bond or say Spiderman where when an actor gets to a certain age he will look out of place or be too old to do stunts the roll requires with Wolverine he's a pretty old character thats world weary and seen and done it all for many years, age actually adds to the character not subtract.

Getting into shape to play the roll may become tougher but there ways around that but Jackman is better now as Wolverine than when he started, usually its a case of starting well then fading away.

All you hear these days from super hero actors is how soon they can stop and pursue something else. Jackman is different, the guy is truly dedicated to his character and loves portraying him. I hope he sticks around for a very long time.

He does appear to appreciate more than some but then I didnt realise till recently that X1 was his first proper acting gig in hollywood films so I guess the series and character mean a bit more to him and feels like he owes a bit of a debt to it because of that maybe.

Exactly, and frankly, even if Hugh starts to look older, one just has to remember that Wolverine is almost 200, so if Hugh starts to look 60, it's all relative to Wolvie. :oldrazz:

At this age he finally looks like Wolverine from comic books, in trilogy he was too young.
