Hulk Will Get Another Movie

My storyline... Now that Bruce Banner has some good faith restored in him after he helped saved the world from an alien attack, being able to work with the Avengers, made him realize that he missed his family... So Bruce goes to visit his cousin, Jennifer Walters. On arrival she is shot by some thugs, is rushed to hospital and needs a blood transfusion to live. Bruce is faced with a dilemma, because he knows they have the same blood type but his is gamma infected!! Realizing that she is going to die, he goes through with the transfusion, which leads to Jennifer becoming the SHE-HULK!! You guys can figure out a cool villain now lol...

Jennifer then joins SHEILD, but not the Avengers... This way you expand the universe but not necessarily expand the Avenger line up!!!

But why would she join SHIELD instead of the Avengers, when in the comics, it's vice versa......?

As for her origin, I hope they go with something different for the MCU. I don't think movie Banner would *ever* voluntarily donate blood, not even to help his dying cousin. As bastardly as that sounds, he knows that giving her his "curse" is a far, far worse thing to do.

Instead, I'd prefer to see Banner being forced to give her the transfusion, by villains. Probably The Leader. That way he's off the hook in being responsible for her gamma transformation.

I'd not have She-Hulk join any organization. Rather, have her continue her legal career, with a side order of celebrity: by day she works as Ms Walters the lawyer, by. . . well, also day, she does stuff like pose for pictures in a bikini while holding a pickup in one hand as She-Hulk.

If you need a deeper theme, go with "having society like you is a mixed blessing."

She has been a member of SHIELD as well as being an Avenger... The reason why I think she should not be an Avenger is because not every hero should join the Avengers right now. Marvel must try and expand there cinematic universe, but that doesn't mean those characters have to be Avengers. So She Hulk should join SHIELD or do her own thing, after her first appearance on the big screen, then maybe in Avengers 3 if Hulk or another character leaves then she joins.

And I like your origin story... You can have Leader run experiments on her with Bruce having to save her

That's kind of going into Catwoman territory.

If the Leader experiments with her, she might be more likely to turn into a monster. I prefer the comic origin for Shulkie.

And she's been part of the Avengers more frequently than Hulk, so I'd like her there. She has a great group dynamic with others - in fact everyone on the team she interacts with. They'd need to get a really great actress to portray her who is good at comedy and witty one liners as well.

A actress that's good with comedy and great with witty one liners.... Mmmmm ERICA DURANCE maybe?? I think the former Smallville, Lois, star will be perfect as She-Hulk...
And I too, favor She-Hulks comic origin story, it's soooo simple.. And she is a great contrast to Banner that's always trying to contain Hulk, where she just embraces it...

Plus with the Avengers just mainly being a group full of guys, it will be fun to have She-Hulk and her overly flirtatious ways...

If she hadn't played Lois, I agree she would've been great. She looks somewhat like the character facially and has a good delivery of these one liners and a sassy attitude. I could see her doing the lawyer thing too. I'm just wondering though whether she'd be too closely associated with Lois? Of course, Chris Evans managed to overcome that with Johnny Storm, so who knows, maybe she could pull it off.

You definitely need someone who is good with words naturally.

I can say I definitely don't want Jessica Biel though. She wasn't good enough for Catwoman, and she's not good enough for She-Hulk.

Well, Ang's film gave us the origin and TIH gave us a Bruce who's coming to terms with what he is. They can either use those and go on from where his story ended in the Avengers, or they could use the latter to kickstart yet another official continuity, albeit one that doesn't flat out contradict TIH.

By all means, do bring Rick Jones aboard. Hulk has proven to be more interesting when he has supporting characters to play off with.

Why so much hatred for the 1978 TV show? Imo it's the best Bruce Banner and it has the more heart I've seen in any incarnation of the character (Mark's in the Avengers being a close second). Plus, it has the most interesting situations for Banner to hulk out. I say they actually take a cue from the show in those regards.

Why did the Hulk/Banner work in the Avengers? He was damns miling, that's why!!! Oversimplification, naturally, but we finally got a Banner (since the '78 show) that actually seems like a likeable guy and who wants to live. Granted, they didn't delve much into that via script and let Mark convey it, but what he did was make us (well, me) see that he's a human being and not a tragedy on 2 legs. Tragic figure yes, zombie no. If they keep that for the next film, it should have no trouble succeeding.

Villain? The Leader's possible, he WAS set up in TIH. Tim Blake Nelson was a bit over the top, but he was Samuel Sterns, not the Leader. Even so, he doesn't have to play the deformed creature that the Leader is, so he's not essential if they bring the character back in full villain form.

Personally, I wouldn't mind the Maestro storyline. By far the most interesting Hulk story I've read and one that actually asks a question: If Banner and Hulk reconciled, how do you take the Jekyll/Hyde concept further? The story also answers is by saying: A future, twisted version of you. If they don't wanna go there yet, though, it's time for other incarnations of the Hulk, Professor, Fixit, whatever. Go there.

I'm not sure how I feel about a new TV Show, meaning yet another continuity. But it's Del Toro, so we'll see.

All in all, I'm all for another Hulk incarnation after the Avengers. Before that movie I didn't like the character. After it (and the TV show, which I'm currently watching) I became very interested and finally saw the potential. So, yeah, TIH2 and IM3 are the movies I'm more interested in right now, moreso than even Avengers 2.

Hatred? Most people I've seen posting here seem to love it. Maybe it's the underwhelming special effects and the Hulk's depiction as a mute creature, but Bixby is awesome, and Lou also brought a real heart to the Hulk.

^ I speak out about the show that I 'hate' that Marvel Studios used it for the template for TIH reboot, but I love the show for what it was. Was it a good representation of Hulk and what he is...NO!!! But the show is still fun to watch to this day.

We need another movie with Ruffalo as Banner. Since Abomination has been used, I wouldn’t mind Wendigo.

The thing about having Wendigo is that it would make the next Hulk movie a very particular type of film. It would be mainly set in the woods and canadian outback and would have certain horror elements to it associated with this mythical creature.

Personally, I see it as being somewhat similar to the Incredible Hulk TV series episode "The Antowuk Horror" where there was supposedly a mythical creature in the woods (inspired by sightings of the Hulk where a town invented their own creature to bring tourist attraction) but it was all a hoax.

With the Wendigo, it would be like there's this creature in the woods, and Banner would get caught up in investigating it.

The look of the movie would end up similar to either Deliverance or Deadly Pursuit (aka Shoot to Kill) with Sidney Poiter, Tom Berenger and Kirsty Alley.

Is that the direction and visual look they want to take with a new Hulk movie?

The Wendigo is a bit like the Destroyer in Thor. He has a bit of an interesting backstory, but he's not truly a character. Ironically though I wouldn't mind Hulk in Canada. I always wanted a story where he fights Alpha Flight. Almost seems more appropriate since they could be explained post-Avengers. Technically I think they're with FOX, but if you allowed Northstar and Aurora to stay out (make the team Sasquatch, Guardian and Vindicator, and maybe Puck) you'd be mutant free, so they might be able to work something out there. It depends on what they have, FOX clearly has little intention of using them.

I'd definitely do something where perhaps Alpha Flight is sent to capture Hulk and then maybe have the Leader behind the whole thing. Something like that.

It's not? Wow, I may get back on disliking the character then. Nothing so far in the comics has impressed me, but I was hoping that would change. So far the TIH TV show and The Avengers versions are the best representations of the character to me.

In regards to Bruce's character it's pretty faithful and the lonely wanderer moving into different places helping when he can. the main deviations are in the actual small scale of the series, ie; instead of a small town plagued by bikers, he'll be in some distant dimension helping the downtrodden against various creatures or what have you.

Bleeeeh, other dimensions. I still think you can take some mildly fantastical or sci-fi (not excessive crap like in the comics, except for the Future Imperfect story) elements of the comics and blend them with the heart and Banner's characterization of the TV show and get the perfect Hulk movie. Heck, that almost was Hulk/Banner in the Avengers.

And we'll probably get that......in another 5 years or so.

I've never thought of Banner as a young man and he's in his 40s in the recent comics so I'd hope they keep Mark.
