I know this will sound redundant. But is their anyone here, who really I mean really has the Hulk as their favorite character and feels like they can't enjoy the sucess of the other Marvel characters because they feel the Hulk was dealt an unjust blow???!!!!

I mean I know it sounds like a stupid question because you wouldn't be here if not but the Hulk has always been my favorite.I think he is one of the most essential Characters in Marvel.

In DC you have Superman and Batman.

In Marvel you have Spiderman and Hulk.

DC would never just give up on Batman.
But the Hulk barely got any publicity or advertisment.
He was sucker punched by Ang Lee,Marvel,Batman and even Iron man.

What's going on.

So much detachment from the comic.

No Gamma Bomb

No Talking

No Jumping I mean real jumps in the second one.

No real Abobmination

No real I mean real action in either one.

No real story to care about.

Lackluster performances from both movies.

It seems to me the only people who really and I do mean really cared about the Hulk and his movies was US!!!!!

How can we contact MArvel and tell them what we want??????

I say all of there attention needs to be on the Hulk.

The only way for that to happen, because I doubt anyone but us will ever see another Hulk movie unless there is some real Hulk development.

The only way this can happen is in the Avenger movie.

Whether we want him to be a Villain or not doesn't matter.

That's the only way it will work.

He would have to be a threat and fleshed out as a real Character.

Kind of like the Ultimate Avengers cartoon.

In a movie the Hero and the Villian in any movie are the only ones truly fleshed out.He would have to be a misunderstood villian you know not intentional.Take Clossus or take Yellow Jacket in the X-men or Avenger comic they were boring in their story lines until they betreyed their team. Then they became interesting.

He can be a hero in Avengers part 2.

Then after Avengers bump him of again in another movie.Like the Wolverine movie.

Hey Guys thanks for letting me vent. It's just he has always been my favorite.Guy's I need consulation.Give me feed back.

On the Hulks behalf let's find a way and let's pettition MARVEL!!!!!!!!!!!

Choo' crazy, meng! Yeah, The Incredible Hulk wasnt perfect but it was still a damn good summer movie which i thoroughly enjoyed... Perhaps The Avengers will sate your appetite for Hulk destruction...

At the end of the day, Hulk in the last two movies was just a guy being hunted because whenever he gets pissed off, he turns into a green, out-of-control monster.

There's really not too much you can do with that to keep it interesting for the majority of audiences at this point.

I don't read Hulk comics. I'm not really even a Hulk fan. So I have no reservations of the purist type when saying that this character needs radical changes to keep things interesting for me, personally. I'm quickly reaching "bored" status with this whole franchise because of the predictability of a character that was only mildly appealing to me to start with.

That's my rant.

Having a well known supervillain in the new film was a step in the right direction.

I think both Hulk films were superbly acted. And a lot of the deleted material for TIH really expands the movie's worth for me. Even withouth it, you have a pretty solid movie.

So what DO you appreciate about Hulk?

If your not a fan, other then the fact that there's freedom of speech, I don't understand why you even come on here to comment about Hulk at all.
I'm not a fan of Superman, So I don't care to go on any Superman threads and comment, or care period about the fate of Superman films. Why would I waist the time and energy debating on someone I don't care about?

Thus If your not a fan of the Hulk, how can you even appreciate how we, who ARE fans, care that it is important that the Hulk movies be more true to the source materials? I mean what, are you here to blandly rattle our cages? Or is it since you are likely a Superman fan, that you wonder what all the Hub Bub about, when so many of us believe the Hulk would Crush Superman?!:hehe:

Actually I agree with you here... Hulk should have his own distinct personality, and not just be Banner turned ******ed. Banner hates Hulk and Hulk hates Banner - it's that dichotomy that makes the character interesting, and which all previous live-action versions have failed to convey.

Agreed, though I felt Ang Lee's movie conveyed it A LOT better than TIH did, nothing in TIH touched the "Puny Human" scene for showing how they are 2 different personalites in TIH.

What made the series so good was Bill B.and using a real live actor as the Hulk. CGI makes it looks to fake making you not care about the character. I knew this wasn't going to work when I saw the trailers with the crappy cartoon hulk.

Well, to be fair, in TIH Banner did refer to Hulk as "it", meaning a separate entity. Also when Betty says that it is still Bruce inside, Bruce adamantely says "no".

But they didn't go much further than that, and definitely didn't imply that Hulk disliked Bruce or even knew of his existence.

Ang's movie made a point that they were two distinct personalities, but I would have liked that to be something more explored in TIH.

I think they blew an opportunity for an introspective moment as Bruce fell to the earth.

It would have been a perfect moment to explore the existential psudo phychological plain.... just as Ang did in the Hulks fall to earth.

Basicly some of my favorite moments in the comics was the return of the green hulk (just before the merge for the Professor) the floating golden door that both the gray and Bruce feared.

The Hulk is a split persona, a child that protects Bruce, even Ang didn't explore that enough, he danced around the subject manner, he should have just followed what was laid out just before the merge of Green and Gray.... it would have made more sense then his work.

I bet that felt really good.

Not actually.

I have had two very good Hulk movies and that's all I need. To brag about which movie makes more money? Bah, terrible movies make good money and good ones make little every day.

The Hulk is a great character...definitely one of my favorite comic characters. I can understand your wanting to vent a little, but when you say there's no story, and no action, I have to say that you're nuts. Watch the movie again. Lack of acting? Hurt and Norton were perfect in their roles. Tyler was alright. Just thinking about Katie Holmes in BB literally makes me want to vomit, but it's still one of my all-time favorite movies.

I agree on the lack of inner conflict between Hulk and Banner. It was my biggest disappointment. It's a key element that would've added some much-needed depth. Maybe after TDK's success, somebody in charge at Marvel will consider this. I won't be holding my breath.

I also wanted to see some huge leaps. I agree with you on that. Unfortunately, they decided to leave this out, and just imply that it happened, instead. I can understand having to make sacrifices, due to the fact that you're rushing the product to completion (the fundamental mistake!), but they ****ed up on this part.

As people are saying, it wasn't perfect, but it was pretty damn good, and after the word got out, then it made a killing in DVD sales. TIH was a good movie. If they could've found a better way to promote it in the first place, then it would've done better at the box office. Every comicbook movie can't be a Dark Knight.

Tyler was far better then I imagined. She was far more bookish mousey as early Betty was in the books, and Norton litterally channeled Bruce.

Hurt was more alive and colorful then Elliot, though I felt Elliots portrayal and look was a bit more on point, but Hurts introduction to the SS was increadibly well done I thought.

Roth was good and I thought Tim Blake Nelson stole the whole show in terms of acting chops. I particulalry loved the moment where he reveals the blood work, and sheer terror on Bruce and Betty's face.

Really?

Iron Man?

Captain America?

Wolverine?

Daredevil?

You had to compare Spider-Man and Hulk to Superman and Batman?

I am a little worried about Wolverine, X 3 left a bad taste in peoples mouths, Wolverine could suffer some side effects from this.

When I compare them.I'm saying as Marvels top like Superman and Batman for DC.The two most known.

Cosmic I'm sorry I'm not nuts maybe I just have my own opinion but to me....The acting was horrible even ridicules at some points. It seemed as though they felt the acting was beneath them for this genre. With the exception of "Tim Blake Nelson"Like Weadazoid said for me he stole the show and I totally believed him he was like the Joker from "The Dark Knight"He was hilarious for me.I only wish he had been woven into more of the movie and more of the scenes. He was more dangerous than anyone else in the movie. To me the action only matters if I care for the Character.
I really didn't care for the Hulk. Why?Because there was no Hulk.Just an oversized Banner on a tantrum. If there had been a Hulk with his own reasonings then I would have cared for his ploit. But it never happened.
We need a Hulk who wants to be free from banner, the military then we can care about him and what he wants if not then we are just waitng for Banner to change back.

DC's "trinity" is Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman...their three characters with the highest Q rating.

Marvel has Spider-Man, Hulk and...hmmm...the last one is up for debate. The fact that Hulk is DEFINITELY one of the highest Q rated, and guys like Iron Man and even Wolverine aren't is a testament to how important Hulk should be to Marvel. Personally, I think that Marvel tried to do justice to the character both times, but the two films certainly had their flaws.

Hopefully, Hulk will play a massively destructive role in Avengers. Everyone will expect the film to be about Iron Man, due to box office success...which is why you make Hulk a central character, and have him such a visual spectacle that the world cant wait for another movie.

marvel simply don't like the character.

if you want to know how to write some decent hulk stories, you should look to the dude who wrote the first season of the 90s animated series.

Actually I agree with you here... Hulk should have his own distinct personality, and not just be Banner turned ******ed. Banner hates Hulk and Hulk hates Banner - it's that dichotomy that makes the character interesting, and which all previous live-action versions have failed to convey.

Ang Lee's version conveyed that. When Banner is looking in the mirror and Hulk smashes through it and grabs him. "PUNY HUMAN!!"

IMO Ang Lee's was much, much better than TIH. I've given many reasons why before. One of the reasons and is a big reason is the characterization of General Ross. In Ang Lee's you could sense the conflict in him, between his duty to stop the Hulk by any means nesecary and realizing that Banner is the love of his daughters life. Gen.Ross in TIH just didn't seem to give a toss that his daughter loves Banner, he was just like "That mans entire body is property of the US Army!!!" Yea, great characterization there.:whatever:

So to cut a long story short, they should of expanded on Ang Lee's vision and we would have a better Hulk franchize IMO.
