Hulk's Birth and Evolution (movie)

In a few of the recent interviews, it has been stated by Louis Letterrier and Avi Arad that the Hulk is like a new born child to the world. Banner has only transformed only a few times since being stricken with the curse which means Hulk is literally a big baby. Now as he transforms more and more he will begin to learn more.

I for one love the idea. It allows for us to see Hulk grow and learn and also give us the possibility of seeing the different incarnations of our beloved monster, albeit under different circumstances.

Well....what do you think?

Yea I like that idea a lot too. That way we can watch the "Character" of Hulk develop and it makes him more than just a smashing monster with the same old moves and moods

Doesn't the movie start out a few years after the gamma accident? You would think Banner had changed more than that in that time period.

I dont know, seems in those few years he's pretty much isolated himself and devoted all his time to trying to keep the monster in (meditation, watching his pulse rate etc).

I wouldn't actually want to see such a baby hulk again, i would have preferred if this one was more aware since banner had the accident a while ago..

I would have expected more of a 'finally I'm out' expression from hulk rather than a newborn getting used to his surroundings and the limit of his abilities.

We already saw the innocent baby version in Ang Lee's Hulk and why he developed 'Hulk smash puny humans' syndrome. I'd have it that hulk's personality has evolved to hate humans permanently and acutely. The new hulk doesn't have that childish confused look, he looks 50% angry 100% badass.

I forgot who said it, but one of the above mentioned that he only changed about 5 - 9 times over that period. Banner must be avoiding all danger.

Yes but it wasn't clearly defined. The changes in his face were not noticeable in that affect. Most people probably thought it was just bad CGI. Plus I think we'll actually see Hulk learning as he goes.

yeah, one of Ang's faults, he should have made that more clear.

Well he did move to Brazil that's pretty drastic so I take it he is taking all possible measures to avoid confrontation and we can see evidence of him constantly analyzing situations and looking for the safest way out, I'm specifically speaking about the conversation he had with Betty about the "dreaded metal tube" . Also he does say "I've been alone for a long time now. Not because I want to be but because I have to be"

So maybe he was successful at keeping transformations at a minimal. But then the US Army shows up and All hell breaks loose.
