Human Target

The network is also set to renew "Lie to Me" for a third season despite Ryan departing as showrunner. "Human Target" will get a second season only with Matt Miller ("Chuck") taking over as showrunner (with first season showrunner Jonathan Steinberg continuing as an executive producer on the series).

Some other sources...

Insiders at the studio also believe that bubble drama "Lie to Me" will be back next season, having been given at least a 13-episode renewal. Ditto "Human Target," another bubble skein that appears to have been given a reprieve.

Variety.com

Fox made the bulk of its pilot pickups Wednesday, ordering five projects to series for next season as well as renewing modestly rated bubble shows "Lie to Me" and "Human Target."

I'm starting to see it on other tv sites I use that are usually reliable. :D

Please baby please.

Hm. Is Matt Miller coming to work on this show a good sign?

Oh well. If this is the last season, I hope they can end it decently.

ONLY a second Season? no chance of more?

Dr. Lee, second season is all we can hope for right now. At this point, I will take what we can get.

The thing is people like this show. Everyone I talk to seems to like this show. Everyone like this show and the characters. All the feedback it gets is strong. So I hope they can at least grow the audience in season 2 to bring this back for another season.

Just remember if we get a season 2 at least we will get some resolution to the cliffhanger of season 1.

If it can hold in the 2.3 to 2.7 range (And they gotta fight their way back to that point) throughout next season, I'm sure FOX will keep it around. And It needs to come back in the fall. None of this mid-season bullcrap, like what CW did with Reaper.

Yeah but we lost Reaper after the second season :( .

Like I said, if they hold season two for mid-season, that's not encouraging. If it's on the schedule for fall, I'll breathe a bit easier. And I get the feeling CW wasn't really giving that show the chance it deserved. It didn't fit into Dawn Ostroff's agenda, which is all about please a strictly female demographic. By the time WB/UPN became The CW, Supernatural and Smallville were too well-established, so you knew those shows were going anywhere. And furthermore, they both have pretty-boy male leads to lure in the ladies. Something Reaper lacked.

Honestly I thought the lead of Reaper was a bit too much of a pretty boy and not more geeky like Zach Levy on Chuck.

KBX, when Fox is involved I will NEVER stop worrying ;) .

I'm glad they brought it back, but Friday's? Thanks for giving it a fighting chance Fox. Why not go ahead and put Joss Whedon as show runner as well. Make the circle complete. :csad:

No kidding, why not on Mondays to replace 24? And I bet the network exec's wonder why people on these kind of boards talk down about them.

When I heard it was only getting 13 episodes, I thought they would at least pair it up with a heavy hitter like Fringe or House to really guage it's potential, for a little while at least. I didn't expect Friday night at all.

Allegedly, they're looking to see which does better than the other, and whichever one that is, it'll get moved from Friday. Whether it would be Mondays or not, remains to be seen.
