Human Target

Glad to see Chance and the gang back. The 2 female additions I'll hold off judgement for a few episodes. One last thing, please FOX give us the season 1 intro music.:woot:

Love everything about the new season, bar the theme... it's painful. the original had an epic-ness to it... this one doesn't.

Guerraro is hilarious... love the balls he has to just walk into the function with the weapon casually slung over his shoulder, then perv over the 'protectee'

Not sure about the new thief chick.... could be interesting... did like how she was calm till she knew just who was interrogating her :awesome:

In this day and age of "PC"-ness, I thought it was epic and shocking that Guerrero would slug a woman. How'd that one sneak by the censors? I don't condone that kind of behavior towards women personally but I won't lie, it was refreshing to see. :word:

I'm holding judgement on the two female leads myself and the new theme sucks. I realize that the studio is trying to widen their demographics with women viewers but lately that ploy has become kinda fashionable and sometimes not called for.

I think we'll get another new theme song in Season 3.

Anyways, I loved this premiere. This show has never had a bad episode. I am impressed. Great writers, great actors.

Guerrero continues to make my day. He can give Jack Bauer a run for his money.

The new cast additions may just be temporary ones just for this season's storyarc. I loved how the three of them were babysitting Ames.

Definitely the best DC Comics series on television. I hope Geoff John's idea for a "Suicide Squad" series follows this approach.

Janet Montgomery (Ames) is hot though! And actually British... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2857778/

mebbe, mebbe not

I could see Indira Varma sticking around if the show keeps going, Ames...not so much, I like her but there is only so much they can do with her IMO

Ames seems to be in the future episodes. Sounds like she's a sidekick for Guerrero. It will probably be funny. It's like three men and a little lady...on crack.

Indira Varma is their new boss, but she claimed she's just bankrolling them and will be an 'absentee owner.'

The show will still focus on the main three.

The new base is amazing.

Im not a fan of opening sequences much anymore, most shows don't need them....I wasn't a fan of the original one as well....just need a fancy title card and run names on screen during the start of the show

I just miss that epic theme. Probably because Season 1 overplayed it to the max.

Now the show is using licensed music apparently.

hardly epic...I actually prefer the graphic the 'Human Target' graphic they use for commercials

Oh Rogue you know you got some Ike Turner in you. Admit it, Guerrero had you doing the happy dance when he punched out Ames.:oldrazz:

Loved the new episode. Had a couple great fights, nice looking scenes and sets, the whole thing is top notch. Always amazing how great and good looking TV is, puts many movies to shame.

"Dude", that was an awesome episode. I didnt even realized how much I missed this show. Best action on TV

anyone know when we'll know the ratings for the new episode? I really hope this show gets picked up for season 3.

I'm actually optimistic about the inclusion of Ilsa and Ames. Before they were even announced, I was looking forward to seeing more of Emmanuelle Vaugier and Autumn Reeser's characters, so I'm not concerned about the inclusion of females disrupting the "boy's club" vibe of the show. I liked the tension between Change and Wilson, and as always, Guerro was on point. When Ames realized who he was, she looked like she was about her s**t herself! I like that Guerro's played like the one guy criminals don't ever want to cross. Although I'd love to get more background on him, as I remember one episode early in the first season where a guy he was talking to was alluding to his family, I think.

Kind of cruddy though, resolving the Wilson kidnapping in such short fashion. The season finale made it seem like this premiere should have been a full episode to resolve it. Nice move with Guerro shooting that guy in both hands!!! Surprising to see the network show such graphic violence, with his hand all bloody and missing fingers.

:lmao: No, otherwise I couldn't remain happily married for all these years much less being raised with 3 sisters ALL with different personalities that clashed.

I will admit that I did a "happy dance" for the simple fact that Hollywood makes us men the fall guy in nearly everything. The endless sitcoms with the stupid dads and the smart wives? How many times have you seen the tough female cop/spy take down a man with tactical ease? Okay, I get it! Women have as much right to be as kickass as men do, well played!

When I saw Guerrero punch the chick out I told my son that there might be some backlash from the viewing community with that one. There are two women at work right now griping about that punch. I didn't even know that they watched the show.

As long as it stays the main three leads, I'm happy.

Only Guerrero could pull that off; Chance would be vilified had he done it.

I liked Guerrero slugging her but it was justified. The woman was an accessory in a murder and kidnapping even if unknowingly.

I liked the torture scenes with Guerrero. Sort of reminded me the comic panel with Guerrero and that tied up guy and he's using a blowtorch that's become comedy on this board.

Ames I don't have a problem with for now. She's slightly annoying but I'm hoping Guerrero mentoring her will be fun.

The new opening theme music is terrible, I can't lie.

I think they had someone in the background playing the key Human Target notes while another guy was throwing random instruments against a wall.

I strongly agree but to give her the benefit of the doubt, she might grow on me if it's not forced through in the story-telling.

LOL!!!!!

That's honestly what it sounded like.

I assume they got rid of the McCreary theme because of royalties or something I suppose. Don't know why they couldn't just keep the main theme from the opening.

couldn't have put it better myself... loved the S1 tune, wonder why they couldn't keep it?

Well McCreary did not return as composer. I guess could there be an issue with royalties to him if they keep using his theme song in season 2?

Here's my idea for the opening if they don't bring back McCreary's theme: Just have that Human Target logo flash thing as your opening. Cold open, Human Target flashing logo, boom that's it.

Mainly that instead of the assault on my ears that is the new opening theme.
