Human Target

Also I feel the action was lacking for a finale.
Still decent

This show was my favorite, until the new season took everything I loved about the show away. Gone was the adventures to different locations, doing different things, the AMAZING musical score that really brought the show to a new level, and the partnership between the 3 mains.

I know i'm super late to the party, but I have to say it atleast once. I took this crap off my DVR. If it gets cancelled....oh well. It's like watching your sad dying dog, lying in the corner doing nothing but farting and whipping in pain, begging to end it's life. :o

The finale felt rushed to me, the story was such a big one and the enemy so powerful it felt like it should have been a double episode at the very least.

Same here. We're talking about [BLACKOUT]the C.I.A.[/BLACKOUT] here. That's not just some one and done enemy that you deal with in an hour. That had, and still has if there is a third season, the potential to be a pretty decent story arc you can handle over a few episodes. In the finale they just did what they usually do and had everything back to normal in the 45 minute span of the show.

What really feels like a missed opportunity is that Guerrero had more potential dealing with [BLACKOUT]The C.I.A.[/BLACKOUT] if it occurred over three or four episodes. Same with Winston too. That's the type of enemy that shows how good your team really is when they're going up against a threat that strong.

Personally I really liked the pacing of the episode and felt it moved really well.

I hope the show gets a third season greenlit. I'll be devastated if it doesn't. It did about 8.1 million viewers on Wednesday after Idol again even though Idol is not really Human Target's audience. At least that's a bigger number than what it was doing at the start of the season. The numbers got better toward the end of the season even though Fox was heinously moving it around a lot.

Well I'm glad that it got good numbers. Season 2 wasn't all that bad. It's just that it's a bit of a letdown because season 1 was so great. It still was enjoyable, and I really don't recall any episode being outright boring.

Matt Miller did a new interview with givememyremote.com. He says changing the opening theme was a mistake. He talks a lot about the season and is "cautiously optimistic" there will be another season. But it's about the "financials."

If I have to deluge Fox with postcards and letters I will. So shall it be done.

We need a fan campaign like when everyone sent CBS nuts for a second season of Jericho.

How can we send Fox 'Dudes'?

I want to send them postcards with that photoshopped image of Guerrero from the comic with the blowtorch on the back but I have a feeling that would get me a arrested.

I'd say this is one of the best action shows to ever grace the television, and without a doubt the best one on right now. The *action* is often varied and well shot, even if there's plenty of times where it's homage at best and outright ripoff at worst. While a show like 24 had a handfull of episodes with fantastic action, episode to episode this show usually brings it.

I think there were some improvements this season:

-Character centric episodes
It was nice to vary it up a bit. Yeah, Mark Valley is the star, but the Chi McBride and Jackie Earl Haley focused shows were a great change of pace.

-Returning characters
Season one was tops, but with the extremely episodic nature of the show I was a little worried that we'd keep getting introductions to people and never see them again. I feel kind of like Ames did in the finale now, when she says "WAIT! I WAS ACTUALLY ON THAT MISSION WITH YOU! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!" There's a great Indiana Jones vibe going on with this show, the characters put out a real sense of history when they talk to one another. Actually seeing people again and building on those relationships strengthens this even more.. because they talk about things that we both know about and don't know about now with the same tone.

- The Women
I hated them at first and thought it was a terrible idea, but damn if they haven't grown on me. I especially like Ames as the unlikely protege of Guerrero.

Now that's not to say they don't need to improve some things. I said I like the women and I do, but they need to figure out how to use them a little better. They shouldn't be afraid to have a few episodes a season without them, or with extremely little of them. They also need to focus them a bit more. Like I said, Ames as the unlikely protege is great, but Ames as a flirty bumbling **** is not so great. Ilsa as a romantic foil with a dark past has potential, but shoehorning her into every episode is overkill and unneeded. The episodes where they were super pissed at eachother and she had to kill that guy were probably her best.

Which reminds me- MORE MULTIPLE EPISODE ARCS and through lines are needed. I said I was worried at the beginning of season 2 that they totally ditched the old man and briefcase plot. And yup, they sure did. While season 1 was very episodic, it at least had that thread carrying through it and built up to something. This time the only through thread was Chance and Ilsa getting together. The show shouldn't be afraid to have some more continuity.

This will also help raise the stakes. Also, the supporting cast is relatively large now. Killing someone seems like a more viable option. I want to see a couple episodes where they fail at protecting someone. The show is light and fun, but its very nature lends itself to occassional dark moments that will be relatively easy to bounce back from tone wise.

And obviously, get back the original music.

so start being a-holes you mean??

you know that all of the interns, PAs, basically the grunts get stuck dealing with all of that s*** when fans do that, right?

hell, the 7 episodes CBS gave Jericho was more of a slap in the face than just cancelling it outright

it was like "here, now shut the **** up and go away"

I don't care if the PA's and grunts have to deal with ****. That's their job description.

But if they're spending all their time handling a campaign, then they're not doing their other work. And the network takes notice of that.

And those 7 episodes never felt like a slap in the face to me. It felt like a victory. The fans had actually convinced a network to uncancel a show. And they were great episodes.

I saw it as more of a pacifier than anything else....maybe Im just spoiled now, most the shows I watch are in season 3 or higher

Well Jericho is on the confirmed cancelled list.

Human Target is still up in the air right now, but it is on the bubble.

Please don't cancel this awesome show or Mark Valley will be sad :(

Great picture Rob Lobo, is that from Keen Eddie?

Mark Valley just had a second divorce. He needs his bread.

Yup! That's from Keen Eddie and I absolutely :hrt::hrt::hrt: that show to death! Mark Valley definitely had the great chemistry Sienna Miller and the rest of the cast too. I do wish there's a homage of Keen Eddie in Human Target series :awesome:

Man, Mark & Keanu are pretty much the saddest men on earth :csad: you could see it in their acting too :csad::csad:

That Jericho campaign was fantastic. I never watched much of the show, nor the ending episodes- did they at least mostly wrap everything up with the extra 7?

I'll never forget the press release announcing it.
"Now please, stop sending us nuts."

mostly....also Valley had a nice couple of years on Boston Legal, got to spar with James Spader a bit and bang Julie Bowen
