Of the people you call elite quarterbacks, none of them were in the Super Bowl this year. Flacco and Kaepernick were. I don't think that either of them are too worried that some don't consider them "elite" when they were both where every quarterback wants to be on the last weekend of the season.

And Tebow won more playoff games for Denver than Peyton.

:woot::oldrazz:

Kaepernicks's biggest weakness overall is his inexperience.

And his mechanics and vision, BUT those can be fixed with coaching and experience. Kaepernick failed to see numerous open receivers and pitched the ball instead of throwing it (passes sailed overhead and wide).

Speaking of Quarterbacks, I see a repeat of 2011 in the first round of the upcoming draft, except no surefire first rounder like there was with Cam Newton in 2011.

And at least the Ravens hit on Flacco when they drafted him in the first round in 2008. Of course, they wouldn't have drafted Flacco if Kyle "Future QB for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger Cats" Boller didn't suck so bad.

I'd like to make a motion, that for next season, people stop using the word "elite". :yay:

Fire, it's not that hard.

Super Elites: P. Manning, Brees, Brady
Elites: E. Manning, Roethlisberger, Flacco
Almost Elites: Ryan, Rivers, Romo
Just a couple steps down from Elite: Cutler, Stafford, Schaub, Dalton, Vick
If situations were right Elite: Freeman, Bradford, Ponder, Wheeden, Tannehill
Will probably be Elite: Wilson, RG3, Luck, Newton and Kaepernick
Mash Potatoes Elite: Fitzpatrick and Sanchez

See everyone is Elite.

I'm very proud of my 49ers.

But why didnt we run the ball at least once on those final plays...DAMNIT HARBAUGH DAMIT ROMAN

Yeah, if I could rank the reasons we didn't win, it would be:

1. The #1 running team not running once with only 5 yards to take the lead
2. The return after half
3. James' fumble
4. Kaep's INT
5. Kaep's clock management

But really, there was no excuse for 4 straight pass attempts. The only reasoning I could see was Harbaugh wanted to cement his choice of QB by having him make the game winning toss. I have no doubt Gore was furious after the game. I'm proud of my Niner's this season but the whole game was lost in 4 straight plays which is unacceptable.

It's semantics at this point, but it wasn't 4 straight passing calls.

The 49ers ran up the middle with LaMichael James on 1st down and got about 3 yards.

It was 3 straight pass calls. But I agree. Looking back at it, especially with the 2 minute warning to give Gore a bit more of a breather after that big run to get us there, we should have been running the ball more.

So for the Ravens parade tomorrow? How many streets can they actually go down?

I've been to Baltimore and the harbor is very nice. My fiance's roommate use to live there, but there was some streets you don't go down. Think one time, a family escorted her back because they were in a bad part of town.

Yeah Bmore definitely aint all puppies and sunshine.

Unless puppies and sunshine is code for heroin.

We're inching toward references to The Wire. I'm excited.

Hopefully Omar and Snoop get their own float at the parade.

Only if there's a kid running in front of the float yelling "Omar comin' yo! Omar!"

Holy **** I cant believe you left Aaron Rodgers off of that list.

Eli is not even close to elite. He's good, and that's it. He's had a couple of clutch playoff runs (on a defensive team), but he's only had one All Pro type season in 9 years. He disappears for several games at a time and the more the Giants lean on the passing game, the more error prone he is.

Seconded.

I'm sure that was an oversight. There are only 4 elite qbs in the league: P. Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers. Rothelisberger is borderline. With guys like RG3, Kaep, and Wilson, it's far too early to tell.

So did anyone else do the Papa John's coin toss thing?

I rewatched the game. The officiating was even worse than I thought.

Jacoby Jones kickoff TD was sprung by a DOUBLE holding by the Ravens at the 30 yard line.

Ed Reed was clearly offsides on the 49ers' failed two point conversion.

Bottom line: the Baltimorons have the 49ers Super Bowl trophy and the NFL owes the Niners a letter of apology.

My cousin lived in a "nicer" part of Baltimore, and still got mugged at knifepoint right outside his apartment.

I'd only trust the super-touristy areas where there are people 24/7.
