Hi, H.L.

Good to see you up and posting today. But, seeing that you might still need some help getting out from underneath it all - I'm sending Doc Strange over to cast a protection bubble over you. Rest assured, by the might of the Dreaded Dromamamu you'll be up and running by this time tomorrow! ;)

Much appreciated, wetgorilla, but why would Doc Strange use the might of the dreaded Dormammu to make me well? Is that like how medical doctors use harmful substances to aid in healing, like poisonous anesthetic, antibiotics and (although this is hardly a life-saving procedure) botox?

Or maybe it's just an expression. Sorry, my human brain components aren't running at full capacity these days. :o

In light of the recent Wzard article, I have reason to believe that Doom has two forms in this movie. Julian describes a different costume for the end of the film that makes him 6'4'' and as big as a tank. Obviously he's not describing the Doom we're seeing.

The wizard article implies that Doom uses that chamber thingy to revert himself back to human form, then realises he likes his mutated self better. So he reverses the process. Maybe he mutated a little bit more when he regained his powers, and resembles Julians description of him being tank-like?

Seems like this is what Doom will look like in the film.

Hopefully the sequel has Doom as the dictator of Laveteria:up:

althoug I don't mind the way he looks in the pics we've seen so far.

This entire Doom issue is what is going to determine whether this movie blows or flows with true F.F. fans. This movie needs to have a well developed storyline with characters consistent with their printed counterparts. From what we've been discussing on this and other threads, it appears most of this pudding lays with Doom's character and origin. (Ben's appearance, Sue's casting and other issues all come secondary when placed against the Doom issue). So, if Doom is made into a bio-mechanical altered being similar to Colossus with just a petty grudge based on jealousy - this movie will wear a scarlet B on its chest with most long-time F.F. fans.

Sure, there will be those five or six-year-olds out there who won't be able to realize the major earth-shaking crap that is being dished out to them. But, they won't care they're still going to want to rush out to Walmart and buy the action figures. Cha-ching! Oh, well.

Doom should first act like Doom which he appears he will based on what we see in the trailers. The whole look of Doom arguement is just like the gg costume arguement. I'm sure he'll look close to comic Doom but not exactly. It can't be exact because its impossible to please everyone.

The small changes in Doom's appearance isn't an important issue and I'm sure most people here would agree. What is important is Doom's motivations, character and his relationship with the F.F. Something I'm willing to bet has been missed in this upcoming movie altogether.

No, no-one wants to talk about Doom anymore because the same points are said OVER and OVER.. from both sides. You find something new to talk about Doom, THEN people will start talking again.

Thank you for those words, Mr. Spokesman. You and the large assembly of people you represent have my utmost appreciation for your attention on this matter.

There's nothing left to say except, they ruined him. I do imagine how long people would complain had they given Batman organic armor and mutant powers.....

Well as I'm leaving the theatre...I'll ask people randomly about Doom and if anyone says he shouldn't have gone up in the ship, should not have had organic armour and mutant powers....I'll be sure and let you know.....:)
