The Wizard will be an internet wizard of course.

The Trapster will be part of the FBI posing as another chatroom user to entrap posters who are distributing illegal software.

The Wizard will be an A.I. start up wizard programme. He'll look like the paper clip from MS Office. "I see you are trying to take over the world from your mother's basement DOOM. Would you like help with that?".

I imagine that the 'Username Doom' scenes will probably feature a few out of date memes and references to go along with his troll persona.

And lots and lots of rapid keying on the keyboard...because no hacker uses a mouse according to Hollywood.

According to Hollywood hackers don't have anything running on their computers but terminal.

Malice will be some form of malaware.

Terminus will be the bus station where Domaschev catches his ride to university.

Lol. Showing your age there. Or are they still being made?

They died out about 10-ish years ago but I'm pretty sure they've started making them again

Hell, why hasn't there been a tamagotchi movie? I'd see that

Some sick kid kidnaps an animal and traps it in a box

I mean, yeah

Sounds about right. I had got one off a friend in school when they came out. Throwing it off a wall to see what would happen was the most interesting thing I did with it. lol. Pretty crap toy all in all.

Somebody get Josh Trank on it. Franchise in the making!

To break up the levity for a second, they could have made this hacker angle work with a B-list FF villain.

I mean really, how iconic are Wizard or Red Ghost anyway? I think you could have made them into hackers and barely anyone would blink an eye. Heck, Mad Thinker does seem to do a lot of hacking already, he was setting up dummy e-mail accounts back in the 90s, making him a hacker would be really easy.

This just doesn't suit Doom, I am sure Doom has some hacking skills, but that would be the least of his talents. This trying to turn Doom into something he is not, like the 2005 movie did.

Doom should an epic foe and hackers are not epic. Doom being a dictator is not dated, considering how often we see dictators in the news. Doom is the FF's most iconic, if they want to change a villain to fit this story, do it with one of the B-list villains and have Doom waiting in the wings.

Doom being a hacker is not iconic or epic, Doom should not a guy who lives in a dorm room with a "Wrath of Khan"poster, who drinks mountain dew to stay awake is he can write his history essay and post a mean review of the FF on Yelp.

It's kind of sad how apologetic Kebbell seems in those videos...it's like he's saying "I'm a fan too, it's not me who came up with this stuff!"

It is a shame because he is a great actor and could have made an excellent Doom.

Indeed, indeed

It does make you think though, did he do it from the money? Did he not get a script before he signed on?

I dread to think what the other villains will turn out like.

mole man an albino who was bullied

and of course just to try and appease the fan boys they cast some favorites as heavy hitters

Like others have mentioned before, I'm willing to bet there will be a lot of dated internet memes and references in this movie, to try to make Hacker Doom seem hip and cutting edge. You know how scenes from 90s movies that reference the internet or computers seem ridiculous nowadays? That. So, this movie probably has that to look forward to as well.

At least now we know why Doom is dressed in garbage bags. He can't afford a real costume since he probably lives in his parents' basement and doesn't have a job.

Oh yes.

Willie Lumpkin will be the voice of AOL's greeting "You've got mail."

I'm sure this Internet Terrorist named Doom was behind all that Fappening too. :o

4Doom.

Sue Storm's nudies got leaked, and with all the resultant legal action that followed, she created a sue storm of her own making.

In being a *****e, Trank may accidentally create the most hysterical parody of all time, and become an internet hero.
