I would think that they're going for a dramatic moment where Groot suddenly appears full grown. At least that is what I'm hoping for as I would be disappointed to see Baby Groot for an extended period as well.

If Baby Groot proves more popular than regular Groot, do you think they'll end up replacing regular Groot with Baby Groot in the movies and comics?

After all, Marvel have no problem with going with what is more popular. They used a later, more popular version of GOTG than the original team for the movies.

I was hoping to eventually see a more comics-based, scary Groot. I guess that won't happen. However, Baby Groot's interaction with Rocket in the 2nd trailer was priceless.
