I can't believe the decade is almost over!

This decade was great, IMO. The S-M films came out, and loads of other amazing comic book films and comic books came out and are still coming out in 2009 obviously. There has been bad things that have happened in the past 10 years though. 2009 makes 10 years since Columbine, 9/11 happened, etc. JUst a whole lot of good and bad things. I was justa little kid in the 90's though, I do remember seeing films in the 90's and buying Spidey, X-Men, Incredible Hulk, etc, merchandise.

The `00s were a bad decade for, well, the world. A lot of crazy s--- happened this decade. But, yea, culture-wise there was some good things.

2000 seemed like ages ago imo. Then again, this entire decade were my teen years.

In about 23 hours (on the East coast) it'll be 2009, the final year of this decade. Is it just me or were these the fastest 9 years ever?! I can't speak for the `80s. I was a little kid and didn't care much. However...the `90s...seemed like forever to me. But this decade...wow...it flew. :csad:
So you believe there was a year zero.

2009 is a very special year... that last time we can make the year look like boobies :(

Never thought of that before.

And I never will again.

I was 8 in 2000!? Damn I'm young. I did a lot of growing up in the last 9 years. In fact, I've done a lot of maturing since I appeared on the hype in 2005. Now I'm not saying I'm grown up and I'm completely mature, but I have done a lot of changing in the past few years alone. Wow, it's already 2009, crazy.

I graduated high school in 2001 and it's now 2009, it's like damn I only graduated 8 years ago?

It's just funny to think that I was a teenager in 2000, now it's nine years later and I'm 25-years-old.

The older you get the fast time goes by. The last decade has flown by. 1990 and 2000 seemed worlds apart. Now ten years ago felt like it just happened.

I hear ya. I graduated high school in 1999. How has it been ten years? And technically, 2010 will be the last year of the decade. :o

These two posts pretty much sum up my opinions of this decade. It sucked on a global scale and personally, but the flood of comic movies made it less excruciating.

 see, we should be pals. We're both smarts :woot:

It sounds clichéd, but time really HAS flown by. The late 90's still seem very recent to me.. it seems insane to consider that 2000 was nine years ago. Either that, or my perception of time is really crappy. I remember the New Years of 06-07 like it was THIS year.. at the turn of midnight, I cleverly noted how 2007 was the year of Bond; and here we are two years after.

I could go on forever about it, but you never realize how quickly time passes until you stop and consider it. The more I think about how distant the 90's are now, the sadder it gets. Those were the years I grew up (I'm 22 now) and where I've got so many fond memories. Jurassic Park coming out when I was 6.. I was a fan of that years before I was of comics and even Star Wars. The old Nickelodeon, etc, etc...

Tell me about it. I started college in August of 99 and was thrilled that I would be a college freshman at the start of the new millennium. True, it didnt start until 2001, but who cared? I cant believe I say "Yeah, I remember college." At the time I was stunned that I was going. College always seemed like such a distant future event as I was growing up.

Ah well. I've enjoyed my 20's more than my teens. Hopefully my 30's will be even better.

If only so many of them hadn't been such crap.

2007 was the year of Bond, but when did they release the reboot? 2006. Yeah, that makes sense.

I was 12 when Jurassic Park came out. My family and I arrived late and missed the beginning, but I enjoyed the rest of the movie so much I went home and read the book about 7 times afterwards. Sad, huh? And we rented the video as soon as it came out.

Well, the important ones were good. Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk. Ghost Rider? Who cares about Ghost Rider?

Nah, thats not sad. I read the books, too. Heck, the teacher read it to us in class. I even memorized the day it came out. June 11, 1993 thank you very much. :o
