I finally sold my 67 GTO and brought and 1968 Shelby Mustang instead. You should hear this thing start up.

hmm, not a bad at all, the 67-70 mustang fastbacks are among the BEST looking cars of that era. That is one of the reason why i love the current 05-up cars

This one looks great done up like 'Eleanor :wow:

Mines looks just like Eleanor down to the paint job. I think I may love this car more then my wife j/k I just hate to go home though because she didn't know I was buying this. I know I am going to get an ear full tonight but it will be worth it.

although i hate mustangs with great force its cool you have a rare car.

Pics! Pics! :D To this day, I still lust after the '67 Camaro SS in that film "Better Off Dead". It's black, chromed out with the windows tinted down and unbridled hell under the hood. I want one. One of these ol' days.

I hear ya. 4 years ago I almost bough a black 1969 Camaro SS with the white hockey sticks. i was absolutely in love with the car, and was willing to pay a good price and do the reletively minor patch ups myself, but they still wanted too much for the car.

Some day, I will own that car...:word:

Yeah, unfortunately, the ones that are worth considering are usually too overpriced. I have a friend who picked up a '68 Impala in pristine condition with 5,000 miles on it (yes, you read that right). He used to do odd jobs for this old neighbor lady of his when he was in college. She was in her lat 60's, I guess. Anyway, she overheard us talking while I was helping him clear some brush on her land and he was saying he needed to get a car (he didn't have one at the time). She was eavesdropping, apparently, because when we came up to the house to get a drink of water she goes "I heard you say you were looking for a car. I have one you might be interested in. It was my husband's and he loved it a lot. It's just been sitting in the garage all these years." We figured it be some big Caddy or something. Nope. A cherry '68 Impala SS with the gold-fleck paint and the 350 small block in it. He had hardly driven the thing before he died and she just kept it all those years under a car cover in the garage. It was beautiful. She let him have that car for $1000 (I offered her $2000 for it but she wanted him to have it. :cmad: ). Said she didn't have any use for it and he was such a nice boy who'd helped her out so much, etc. He put a 400 small block in it and beefed up the suspension. Man that car was fast.

Why do people say "brought"? I know sure as **** no teacher ever told you the past tense of buy is 'brought'. It can't be a typo right? Is it just a local/regional thing? Or more likely, a stupid thing? :o

Wow those cars look in really good condition for 1960s?? Wouldnt see a single car on the road here later than 1975 haha

Here's a '67 Camaro SS for kytrigger to drool over. :D

^very nice...did you get that shot from www.betteroffdeadcamaro.com ?

edit...pretty sure you didn't since the better off dead camaro doesn't have the front SS350 logo. Still, such a beautiful car.

Whoa! That Camaro from Better Off Dead has it's own website?

:D

Mmmm....off to drool for a bit...
