I Know You'll Have The Dack Stecked Against The Wrestling Thread

I think if Lesnar is leaving Reigns walks out with the title and Heyman as his new manager. If Lesnar stays, maybe he wins, and Rollins cashes in. No one has cashed in at Mania yet. I feel like whenever Rollins cashes in he'll become the #1 face on the roster.

And random, but I just scrolled through their shopzone site, these were the best three shirts IMO

I haven't bought anything from them in years but the Austin podcast shirt might have me considering it.

From PWMania.com:

- WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is reportedly close to signing a new deal with WWE, according to talk going around at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings. Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, who has broke several WWE stories in the past, notes that word at SmackDown was that with the lack of popularity that Roman Reigns has received as of late, Triple H is pushing Vince McMahon on the idea of keeping the title on Lesnar.

If Lesnar does retain at WrestleMania 31, it would likely mean a continued “special attraction schedule” for him. Triple H has recently been big on the idea that the Intercontinental Title and the United States Title should be important and mean something again. The plan, if Brock retains is to put the US Title on John Cena and the IC Title on Daniel Bryan.

The idea is that two top stars, Cena and Bryan, could bring legitimacy to the titles. Also, while Lesnar is gone, Cena and Bryan can main event RAW, SmackDown and all other events with titles on the top of the card.

It was noted that a lot can change between now and WrestleMania but this is just one of the many ideas that are being talked about.

I don't mind this idea at all.

I could also see them having Brock retain the title and beat CM Punk's title record just because WWE acts like a high school ex and wants to erase Punk's legacy in every way possible.

I agree. I like that plan too. I just question the likelihood of it happening.

If they give Bryan the IC title you could have him feud with Ziggler for a few months and build him up to a possible Lesnar vs. Bryan match at Summerslam or next WM if Lesnar resigns.

I did not know Austin said he's wrestle Brock. Given Brock's physical style, I assumed he never would risk getting in the ring with him. I still think WWE is going to throw a lot of money at Austin in hopes he will wrestle, but I suspect he will not. Punk will not be back, and no one else is booked strong enough that Austin would want to wrestle.

Yeah, they were the two guys he's listed in interviews over the last 2 or 3 years, he said him and Punk would work best but the payday of working with Brock and the backstory would be tempting.

There's no doubt the card is going to be filled with past attractions and part-timers, which is sad when you realize that it means no new stars are being created or put over. This is the WWE world we live these days.

I hope I am wrong and WWE presents a fresh card with new talents, but I highly doubt it. I shudder to think Cena will be headlining. He hasn't been the top billing for two years now so you know Vince will be dying to put him back on top.
Oh I think you are probably right, it'll be a card filled with matches that are worthless to the overall company 24 hours after they've happened. Mania used to launch the rest of the year, now it's a place for has-beens to collect a big payday while the guys who bust their ass all year long work the mid-card, then WWE wonders why viewership is so apathetic post-Mania.

Who is the middle shirt for?

I agree. I like that plan too. I just question the likelihood of it happening.

It is a great idea, which is why it's almost certain not to happen.

That's an Orton shirt. And a great one at that.

Daniel Bryan just defended Cesaro against Vince:

Daniel Bryan recently spoke with Adelaide Now in Australia to promote WWE's WrestleMania 31. Below are some highlights:

Being in the Intercontinental Ladder Match instead of the main event:

"For a year, I had this vision of me wrestling (former UFC champion) Brock Lesnar in the main event for the WWE Championship. But sometimes, when you don't get what you want, you end up getting something better — like this ladder match. I think with the guys we have in that match and the excitement we can generate, we have a real chance of stealing the show."

Wanting to make the IC Title and SmackDown important again:

"One of the things that frustrates me — both as a performer and as a person who thinks the current crop of superstars is really, really good — is the way people don't get opportunities. It's well known that the people who are perceived to be 'the bigger Superstars' don't show up often on SmackDown, they mostly feature on (the main show), Monday Night Raw. One of the things I'd like to do, as a kind of near-main event guy, is to do things that provide opportunities for guys to really stand out."

Vince McMahon's "millennial" comments and saying Cesaro is lacking something:

"I think that's only one man's opinion, and I don't think Cesaro has had a chance to show Vince that there's nothing missing. You let Cesaro and I have a match on SmackDown and I guarantee that, by the end of it, people will either love him or hate him ... he will get a very strong reaction."

Daniel Bryan is mostly polite but it's crazy how he doesn't try to bite his tongue at all for Vince when it comes to matters of other talent on the roster. He even outright said Punk was accurate his claims regarding Mania in one interview too. All that aside though, it's a shame that Bryan has to be so optimistic about this ladder match as he's already admitted to being disheartened by going from Main event to fifth or 6 match on the card from the top in a matter of a year.

I'm sure this will endear him more to the fans......

"Roman Reigns: When I'm talking, shut the hell up and let me talk"

Reigns just has to turn heel. When he turns heel people will boo, which you're "supposed" to do...but a majority will probably cheer for him because smarks get confused.

Reigns should be more like Rollins in that he is the chosen future of the WWE and be this cocky brute that has everything handed to him.

I'm almost certain he will, especially if Brock either doesn't re-sign or loses the title, and if Reigns makes a "deal with the devil."

Yeah, in order for Reigns to get booed corrected, he has to become a slimy guy. Enter Paul Heyman. He can make Shawn Stasiak look like Stone Cold.

:o

Wow, that's lame.

Oh right, based off that meme that blew up after the football celebration?

If you have a few minutes, look at the compilation of RKO vines. If non-wrestling fans thought it was hilarious, you will die of laughter.

I really hope they have Sting music something different at WM I just don't see why WWE doesn't use his old crow music because they do own it.

I just want to give a shout out to the Wrestling Isn't Wrestling video. Just awesome. Honestly, it is such a well-made video, and Chloe Dykstra continues to be so hot. I love it. 5 out of 5 stars. And thank you for linking me to the video, Nolan.

Yes he's perfect for the Corporate Champ a la The Rock. I'm a Reigns fan, and I'm not going to turn on him. I've been rooting for him since before The Shield and want him to do very well as champ. Heyman could turn on his beast align with Roman and play off the fact that he wasn't sure if the beast would be staying around, and went with the next "Next Big Thing" which would also play right into Trips and such having chosen champion instead of the people's. He could have feuds with Rollins, Ambrose, Bryan, Orton, Bray, and Brock if he sticks around.

I'm looking forward to the post Wrestlemania season. I'm sure there will be a few call ups from NXT the Raw after. My guesses are Adrian Neville, Charlotte, and Tyler Breeze.

Wow, that's lame.

They did this to a little kid at a Saturday Morning Slam taping a few years back. He was wearing a dirtbike shirt and security all but forced him and his father to wear Rey Mysterio shirts because "anything non-WWE related isn't 'kid friendly'." Surprised they're doing this again.

So now the friends on my YouTube show(currently on Sabbatical) are now telling me that in hindsight they should have went with Bryan when they saw this Reigns thing was not working.

I wonder if anyone else that was all moaning up a storm about how "selfish" Bryan fans are still think Reigns and Lesnar was the best idea?

Cesaro is one of those guys who could get over on the main roster by simply having great matches if he was allowed to.

Cesaro's matches against Sami Zayn were fantastic and his match against Cena on Raw was great as well.
