i have another dillema.

which system should i get, the ds lite or wait until a white psp comes out?

what are your recommendations?

ds has the new super mario bros., the new loz, and some cool games like kart.

psp has the new mgs port. ops (which looks really good), gta, and better sports titles.

i need the help :(.

DS lite. Trust me I have a psp and it gets boring after like...a hour playing it and you will say...damn I waited my money on this. I have both and to me the DS is alot more fun. With online gamming for free. Now that was with the olds ds. Im also getting the DS lite and its alot better. Brighter screen. you can play music and go on internet broswer with it. And its only $120. nintendo rocks. Also the PSP breaks easly. I droped it off my bed and it broke. The DS is really hard to break.

PSP. MG+GTA on the go >> Anything else

If you don't like those, the PSP is worthless. Definately get a Lite. You have Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Super Mario 64 DS, WarioWare: Touched, Mario Kart DS*, Animal Crossing Wild World*, Tetris DS*, Meteos, Metroid Prime: Hunters*, Resident Evil: Deadly Scilence, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

The upcoming games include Yoshi's Island 2, Star Fox DS, LoZ: Phantom Hourglass (sequel to Wind Waker), New Super Mario Bros., Diddy Kong Racing* (Rare is helping develop it) and Mario Basketball* and Final Fantasy III.

And as said, it's cheaper. I know this kid who is a huge MS fanboy and he thought the PSP was the most overpriced piece of crap ever. He traded his in for a DS.

*Games with WiFi.

Forgot about those. I'll add those to the list.

DS: 17
PSP: 2

^^^^DS lite!!!!! its more fun then a psp.like spideybat and SV said. you wont regret it.

So worthless that you can watch movies, listen to music, and read books on them.

And besides, anyone that doesn't like either MGS or GTA doesn't really deserve to be playing games anyway.

The psp has so many more games than MGS and GTA.. I have both and never use my DS, the psp is just an amazing system with alot of un-used potential, but it looks like it finally will be used soon enough.

So, with all of those coming out, and games like Metal Gear Acid, Syphon Filter, Daxter, Exit, Lumines, and GTA:LCS already on the system, the PSP is expanding to huge proportions, with a vast range of game types, it's well worth the price of admission..

Watch only 90 minute movies. For music, most people already have an MP3 player. If you read books on your PSP, you really need help.

People can not like GTA or MGS and still deserve to play games. I hate GTA and I never got into MGS but I'm still worthy b/c I enjoy the classics.

Geo7877, most of those upcoming games suck.

And it's your opinion you disagree with him. There is no proof DS is better than PSP, it all depends on your taste. That's what Riddler is asking. Right now, the DS has more good games and a lot more potential considering the success of Wii at E3.

All of which is your opinion as well.. So by your argument, nothing you say really matters, as does anything anyone else says. So why discuss anything at all?

ahaha are you kidding me, you act as if none of those games will be on the ds in the next year. and no one really needs a psp for music, since ipods dominants that area and alot, alot of people have an ipod.

They will be on the DS in a shoddy, graphically disabled version of themselves. But I forgot, you'll be able to see a map at the same time as play, ooooo fancy. :o

A DS is great to have.. But it's really more of a children's toy. The PSP is a multi-media machine.

To help Riddler get the better choice.

And the PSP versions will be any better?

BTW, most of the DS versions include special features.

A DS is a video game handheld and designed to play video games. The UMDs are a HUGE failure, as many companys pulled out from making them due to poor sales. Playing music is pointless if one has an MP3 player. Even if you don't, they are constantly coming out with better features. That leaves games, and PSP lacks as many killer apps as the DS has. Plus, PSP lacks online gaming. Something Nintendo was new to and proved they could be successful.

Just because the UMDs are a failure does not mean people do not watch Movies on the PSP. I think the problem with People not buying UMDs is simply do to the fact you can easily put YOUR OWN MOVIES on the PSP Memory Cards & view it on the PSP. That is why UMDs are failing & not because People dont want to see Movies on a Small Screen.

I have a DS and my bro has a PSP, my brother loves sports games and GTA and only sports games and GTA so the PSP was a good choice for him, but thats the only reason I can see for getting one. The UMD feature is a ****ing joke and my ipod( and pretty every mp3 player out there) kicks the PSP's mp3 features' ass. The only thing those features did for the PSP was drive up the price, get an mp3 if you want to listen to music( for the cost of a 1gb memory stick you could just pick up a shuffle) and a portable dvd player if you want to watch a movie without holding it in your hands for over an hour and watching it up a 2x2 screen.

Hey yo it's Sean is right the PSP is a multimedia machine but its a crappy one, it does have some good games but not enough to warrant the price you will be paying for it.

UMDs failed because of high cost. Watching movies on PSP is stupid anyway due to a short battery life.

Nontheless it was still useless to play movies on the PSP. It consumes too much battery power, produces poor resolution, and only drives up the price.

You're not watching movies on it, you're playing games that were made to fit that screen.

i think sony will be stupid enough to fix that, by adding some hdd to it and driving the cost of it even more. by next gen had held, nintendo will be ahead of sony.
