Good action and a great villain. And the costume is spot-on. Better fight scenes than a lot of superhero films. It's cheap-looking for a superhero film, but it's more akin to an 80's James Bond movie.

And a President who actually gets in the action himself and kicks some ass-! I don't recall Bush fighting Al-Queda personally.

It is a guilty pleasure of mine, also.

Double post...stupid computer

I like it too. Its one of those movies that i can't help but enjoy

I always liked it. It had it's problems, but had some good action. I have a bootleg that shows more fighting in WWII and more character development and I have the official VHS release too. I bought a bootleg DVD a few months ago too This needs an official DVD release.

i havent seen it but from that clip it actually looks like a really good chessy movie
the cartwheel/flip was awesome, is there any place where i can download it off the net or is it on youtube?

Can you describe the extra scenes for us?

Agreed. I have my bootleg, and that is fine for now, but I hope they put out an official release with the new Cap movie.

Well, well, well-! Seems it's not such a despised movie after all! Atleast five people like it.

The Red Skull predates the Penguin in Batman Returns as the first truly tragic, pitiable supervillain in a superhero movie.

I haven't seen this film since I was a kid. I have no clue where to get a copy. Where'd you get yours?

Midtown Comics in Manhattan.

i like the film too, even though its a completely low budget movie with cheap production.

The actual execution of some of the ideas was quite good, and Matt Salinger is actually a perfect Captain America.

I think Salinger would be perfect for a Captain America movie today,

unfortunately he's too old now!

Its not as good as the Punisher with Dolph Lundgren, which at least had a fairly decent amount of action in it.

I'm attempting to get this film in order to watch it.

I saw a few minutes of it on TV once. Yes, it was actually on TV a couple years ago on some local channel, and I laughed for a few minutes, then went to bed cause it was probably around 4 am or so.

I would like to be able to post the film online, but I doubt that would go very well with the people in power, even if I didn't make a profit, and it was just for the fans.

I doubt any company would care if you put it online. It's never been officially released on DVD, it's practically a forgotten film.

I LOVE this movie. I always have. Is the budget a little low? Yes. Is the acting a little hammy? Yes. Does it have a little cheese? Yes. But does it matter? I say No!

The film has heart. It's accurate enough, and Matt Salinger IS Captain America! He's among the ranks of forgotten good superhero actors, like John Wesley Shipp as The Flash and Dolph Lundgren as The Punisher (Though, Dolph's not as good as the aforementioned other two, but he's more than half-good... I can't hate him).

This film is a hidden treasure. The kind of movie that comes on a local station on a rainy, winter Sunday afternoon when all your friends are out of town and you have nothing to do.

I, too want a DVD release. Supposedly, there's a widescreen version out there somewhere. Hey, it happened for The Punisher, when the new Cap movie comes out, I'm sure this one'll get a release.

Now we just need an official release of the 70's Spider-Man series....

You can find a lot of rare stuff on eBay.....the (much better) workprint cut of The Punisher, the entire 70's live-action Spider-Man series, various versions of Captain America....if you're a real superhero movie obsessive, you can hunt down a lot of these forgotten (often rightly so) movies.

I'm not sure whether this clip is safe to post given it's set to the Team America: World Police theme but I got a kick out of it.

I actually do have bootleg DVDs of the Hammond Spider-Man series, and I own the legit Punisher DVD, but I want the uncut version, but I refuse to settle for PAL speedup...

What different versions of Captain America exist? I wanna know!!
