I think I'm experiencing the purest form of love imaginable

Yeah, if I were to guess, I'd say you're going to be screwed (not literally:() in 6 months or so too. I've been in exactly your situation before. But hey, if you manage to love her without having any romantic feelings for her, good for you. But it's really hard, man. Really hard. Unless you're gay.

Dude, with all my close friends, I feel that way. And I'm not a homosexual, and it ain't hard. :cmad:

i have that kind of platonic love with my friend sarah. we have been friends for over ten years. never were in a relationship or did anything. the most ive seen is her boobs when she got her nipples pierced. She is gonna be my best man at my wedding...oh yeah..i am kind of engaged now. The girl im with is everything i could imagine. that is a love i have never felt before and it feels good to know that it is comin back my way as well. thats why i havent been on here as often. good for you though man. just dont **** it up by falling in love with her. then that will turn to crapola.

I still love her.
But I've finally found that life goes on without her.

I got myself some meds around the third dot. Brought my rainbow of emotion to an end.

Dew was afraid of me. She broke down when we were speaking on AIM cus I kept making fun of her and her baby.

But hey, some people don't deserve to get the joke of life. :o

what a dick thing to do:down

I felt a similar strange kind of Jesus love for a friend of mine a few years ago. It didn't last.

I have this friend. She and I are very close. I'm not attracted to her or anything, but we're really great friends. And something hit me not too long ago when I was thinking about her: I love her. I mean I really, truly love her. I would give anything for her without a moment's hesitation. And the reason this perplexes me is because we're not in a relationship, and we're not related. Until now I never thought a person could feel that kind of love for somebody who doesn't fall under either of those categories. It's really kind of confusing.

So, am I odd? Or is this sort of thing commonplace?

Ive heard it before, you just like her.Tell me if you feel the same way about her 10 years from now.If your both still together, then ill admit it.If not..then your just experiencing hormones, which you most likely are.

That's because I find it stupid that people go onto a superhero forum and ask for advice in their pathetic relationships.

While I do agree that most people either post things about relationships because a) they need verification for a previously thought out solution or b) geeks need to brag and sometimes c) some people honestly feel that this board is kinda like an extended family.

well it's one way to get various opinions and different perspectives on things. But if you don't care it's very easy to ignore them.
