There's no need for Sandman to be disproved as Ben's killer, especially since we've seen photographic proof that this is the case. The point vcertainly isn't that Spider-Man is after the wrong man. It's that he shouldn't allow himself to become revenge obsessed. Even if he's after the right man, revenge is wrong.

Eh... I dont think revenge is wrong.

Maybe Sandman aka Flint Marko is just indirectly responsible for Unca Ben's death...remember before catched he had been kinda boss of the NY underworld.

i.e.
The robber has stolen the money and is looking for a way to escape.
He's nervous and while running out of the building he calls a contact man or sth. else by his mobile phone. But what happens?! - The boss himself appears.
By his 'cool' nature Flint Marko tells the excited and nervous robber to escape by s.o.'s car (maybe he points at Ben who's waiting for Peter but don't want the robber to kill Ben, because of high risk of attention by people,police...).
He hectors unca Ben to give the robber the car,etc. and suggests him to leave the scenery immeditately. (remeber the Photos on the net which are showing some conversation between Ben and Sandman)

But then Ben said sth. like "I know u, Flint Marko..!" (in kinda slight "pighead manner") -> And while leaving (turend backwards to the scenery:car-Ben- robber) Flint Marko says "Kill him!"

I personally think its a symbiote-induced hallucination. Thats why they revealed it in the trailer, because it will end up not being true.

I've noticed that everybody's way of dealing with things they don't like in the trailer is by naming it as a dream.

"How did that pumpkin bomb get thrown in Harry's face?"
"Oh it was just a dream."

"Why is Sandman Uncle Ben's actual killer?"
"Just a dream."

and

"Why is Peter being choked and who is he reaching out to?"
"I think...It's just a dream."

Not everything is a dream; that very idea is repulsive and worst than what you are trying to explain as a dream. Please, just let it be; it's not a freaking dream!
