I think the most iconic from TDK, is the moment he pulls off the mask at the Bank Robbery.....and gives...the creepiest smile known to man.

The thing I love about this pic is, it was really no preparation for what The Joker turned out to be. It was badass, but the final product looked alot different. Plus, this is the first good look we got at him. It's just as special as the TDK teaser trailer where we got the first lines of dialogue.

I remember when this pic first came out, I was thrilled because by then I knew we were not getting the lighter cackling prankster incaranation of the character. That + Heath mentionning Alex De Large as a point of reference, I knew everything was going to be alrightt:.

EXACTLY! Both this shot and the teaser trailer have a special place in my heart, not because I loved them necessarily, but because of the excitement and anticipation that accompanied them.

Lolt:. Yeah, like I said before I really like when the Joker features are well proportionned, like Ross or Bolland's (and of course Kane, Robinson and Finger's). That excludes Sales' and those ridiculous teeth and Lee's and that pointy nose that make him look like a witch or something.

That's why I also like Tony Daniel's (the current artist on Batman) Joker.

Miller's Joker in TDKR is not my favourite Joker either but because he looks like Frank-N-furter (from the rocky horror picture show) with the chest of a body builder imo.

Sorry, the thread I made was more for The Dark Knight's Joker rather than the inspiration for it, which I see more of here than Heath himself. And all the other threads I saw that were anything like that hadn't been posted on since July or August of last year, so I thought it would be okay... I'm sorry. But thank you for telling me--those three were the only threads I ever intended on posting so this won't happen again.

i can't see that character, with such heavy prosthetics, giving the energetic and detailed performance we ultimately got.
