Ideas for the new costume in the Batman reboot

I want this with a cowl which is a mixture of these two:

And the gauntlets/gloves and boots from the Nolan films.

I usually don't care for small ears on the cowl, but that looks quite animalistic and I like it.

^I dunno. I mentioned it in previous incarnations of the Bat-suit thread but look at the TMNT outfits. No problems moving and fighting, and I'm sure those were just as uncomfortable, heavy and hot as any Bat-suit has been.

I don't think the suit was the problem with Bale's mobility at all. It was the fact that we had a guy in the suit who didn't learn any full-range martial arts (Keysi doesn't count! LOL). Bale just wasn't a martial artist and I don't think Nolan felt that it was important to have Bats doing fantastical martial arts moves.

That could've been remedied by using a stunt man during the big action/fight sequences...

Bale is perfectly capable at choreography. The problem was that the suits were heavy and restraining (espcially the first one).

Even the most flexible body armor is going to be 20-40 lb of weight in the real world.

Batman does not need to be climbing walls like spidey. The only time I want to see a full mask is if they do a Batman Beyond movie. And we should see more grappling and swinging, not less.

There are four things that bats are known for-- flying, climbing, hanging, and using sound to navigate in darkness. Why shouldn't Batman be able to climb?

Take away the excessive ribbing, and something like this could be pretty cool. Looks much more like a second skin:

I'd love to see something like this, only ditch the undies.

I also think that suit would work well in seperating this reboot from the Nolan and Burton/Schumacer series. The only changes I would prefer would be the yellow ensigna and ditching the undies as Rowsdower suggested.

I still think this would probably the most ideal. Make it black and grey, add a cowl, cape and the Bat Symbol and you go a badass Batman Suit. And definitely keep the belt, it looks like you could actually fit something into those pouches.

The problem is the nature of the choreography. There were several moments in BATMAN BEGINS where even that suit looked very mobile and flexible and Batman moved very quickly...but the focus on blocking, grappling and elbow strikes makes him appear slower in the latter two films.

Obviously this would be better suited for a Justice League, Kingdom Come, or even a Dark Knight Returns adaptation, but I really like the suit in the DC Online Universe.

Though I don't know what's going on with that black slit in his left eye.

^^ Looks too much like Judge Dread, not useful in normal operations.

Even these guys, fully suited up, were capable of some great stunts.

Why is it that Hollywood, with a multi-million dollar budget, can't create a Batman suit that doesn't constrict your movement?

Haha, Guyver 2. Awesome!

batmans black suit has been way over done
I think they should go in a whole new direction and give him a red uniform, that would be interesting.

Those who think that Avengers suit of Captain America looked better than TDKR Batman suit, need to take a look at this, both can be compared as Evans and Bale are of same height -

I thought that TDKR is easily the best Batman has ever looked on screen. For the next suit, id say do something along the lines of what they did in TDKR. I think seeing grey would be sweet, along with a yellow bat symbol

Not saying the suit was terrible, but I think a lot of comic fans would prefer something closer to the comics. Something that allows for a lot of mobility, while still being practical and without looking like some kind of Cyborg.

Something tells me you haven't been paying attention to what people have been saying about how the Cap suit can work as Batman.

Could somebody manip this? Reduce the ear size, loose the trunks and darken the grey a touch? :)
