A 2012 release date would be great.
Batman 3 in the summer.
Hobbit 1 in the winter.
That would be a great year indeed.

I didn't either. Might as well throw the character of Batman away.
Guys, that quote by Nolan is about Jeff Robinov, one of the top executives at Warner Brothers. Nolan was referring to certain ideas that WB as a studio has used in the past. Robinov is taking more risks (Inception and Watchmen for instance) while also cutting down on the number of projects each year so that the studio's focus is on quality rather than just quantity. Here is the NY Times article to provide some context of what Nolan was referring to:

I was under the impression that he wasn't even talking about Batman, but about that other guy's choices with being different with films.
Inception will be tell us alot about where Batman 3 is headed. Most franchises become more studio driven as they proceed, I think this one will be more a product of Nolans vision than any either BB or Dark Knight. He's the golden man at WB he'll do whatever he wants and whatever he's doing will be weird as hell I think.
t:I was joking. Obviously its too early for that, but i cant wait for the new film!i honestly don't think we can expect virals until either
A) right around Inception's release
B) Filming start.

Uhhh...what are you talking about?
I think it means he won't design it the same as he did before. Begins and TDK had differences in story telling methods and style even. I think some are looking into it way too much.
But *sigh* this is why I stay away from a lot of boards until more info is received. The fun of the internet....home of blowing things out of proportion and reading into things too much.

Is Inception even being touted as a 'franchise'? I've always thought of it being a one-off film, just doesn't seem like the type of film (from what little we know) to become a series.
yah I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know this was some kinda franchise...

That was my spider-freddie impersonation.

Oh wait. None of you know who he is.
