IESB: Welling out of the running for JLA Superman

The more important arguement is this one. Can we PLEASE have Michael Rosenbaum play Lex Luthor the next time the character is on the big screen. Michael Lex owns Hackman and Spacey's baffoon Lex, and don't tell me he isn't, look at the company he keeps. Do you think Michael's Lex would have Otis and Kitty running amok, hell no because he is a real f^cking villian for crying out loud!

I would love for him to play Lex on the big screen, or even the Flash.

you have no idea what your talking about.

rouths chest, arms, and deltoids are all MUCH bigger and more developed than wellings in that pic; tell me thats a joke. Welling has wider shoulders; but Routh is huge at that point. Welling looks more natural while Routh is a lot more defined; hence why he looks more like a body builder or model with picture perfect proportions compared to Wellings who build is more goofy; big biceps with no triceps and little development in his pecs and deltoids.

Routh was obviously trained by a pro and it shows. I am someone very into weightlifting and fitness and theres no bias; Routh is clearly MUCH stronger than Welling.

What are you smoking. He is obviously smaller, and he is wearing a muscle suit under there. Evin in the muscle suit he is smaller than Welling. Look at pictures of both (Not pumped up lifting weights as you guys keep posting pics of him in the middle of a rep almost halfway through a workout when he is pumped up and a lot bigger than he would be normally before a workout like all the pics or Welling are of) and in a T shirt and you see just how much bigger Welling is. Man your devotion goes too far.

And for a guy who claims to lift weights, you don't know that basic phenomenon of anyone who has lifter for a while and has some mass to be pumped up during a workout and much bigger than they actually are cooled down a few hours later. Dude...stop already. It's getting sad.

Yeah pic a video animatic of Routh when he is in the middle of a workout and doing a lateral raise. How about cooled down in a shirt during the same period of time.

The one on the left taken during filming, not pumped up, out of the muscle suit. Now compare it to Welling. God this is so stupid.

Here is an example of pumped up versus cooled down in the same person. Put in a first blood CD and look at how small Stallone is during the scene where he takes his shirt off before the deputy hits him with the baton from behind (just before they hose him off with the firehose) then later in the movie when he and Troutman are talking in the police station. Especially in the deleted scene called "a humorous death) and see how much bigger he is. Difference. Stallone did a bunch of push-ups and stuff in between takes during the final Troutman confrontation scenes, and didn't during the shirt removal scene so that the fakes scars would not stretch and fall off. That is the difference between pumped up during a workout and cooled down in the same person.

Routh is the size he is in the left when cooled down. Welling is the size he is, which is much bigger, in that T shirt shot when he is cooled down.

The costume dept complains to Singer that because of Brandon's training, he's about to bust through the seams on the suit.

And then Bryan mentions he told the trainer (Hugh Jackman's trainer) to stop building mass and just keep Brandon in the same form.

The studio wanted that build for the character in the film.

It comes on the DVD around the segway to the infamous training footage of Brandon in the gym.

He was under contract to only get to a certain size and stay at that size to fit in the suit. The trainer talked about it on a talk show that you can see in you tube. He goes on about how Warner's did a survey...what he doesn't mention is who they surveyed. Women for desired sex appeal. They chose a swimmers body. Roth was under contract to get no begger than fitting into that muscle suit that was decided and molded before he was cast. Don't even know why we are arguing about this. It is pretty well known.

I can care less for Welling, low and behold the no name actor rocks at Clark Kent. It's only natural to desire the guy to become Clark Kent's alter ago.

This marks the first time two actors have been cast in one role. The 'duel' casting is going to be done using new technology that allows two separate actors play one role, and have them merged as one in post production. WB is excited to have Justce League be the first movie to use this new technique. "We're excited" says a WB representative. "It's never been done before and we look forward to having both Routh and Welling don the red and blue suit this time. Both actors have their own unique fan base and we hope both will support them in this project." Filming is set to begin this February in Fox Studios, Sydney.
