I knew it wasn't true, but I did a double take to see if the site had been hacked at all. And I was already there before I came here and saw nothing of the sort, which is why I went back to see if a hack was done.

I didn't. I think if anyone did go there it was knowing that it's fake but seeing if someone used a similar login name or something to make a hoax. People aren't falling for stuff these days. Like I said, the rumors have just been too crazy last few months in particular.

I think in this case no news is good ews concerning TW. If there is another candidate why haven't we heard about him? I think it all comes down to financial! Smallville has been around or even seasons. It is extremely popular n the key demographic. The lead is not a top tier star yet does have a very strong and loyal following. We can surround him with uknowns who also appeal stongly to this particular demographic that we are targeting. Or we can pin our hopes on a total unknown who's appeal has not yet been established. which one do you hink they will pick? This is not a slight toward BJ by any means. He did the portrayal as he was instrcted by Singer. It is never fair to judge any actor from just one role!! Plus I think it was a mistake not making his hair style more like CR's. I think TW has the role! And if this is successful they will reboot the franchise.

I seriously don't get the deal about Tom Welling.Apparently,those who wanted him as superman in jl are those devoted fans of smallville.

Truth is,Welling only accepted the role on smallville because he doesn't have to don the cape.

He's not even a fan of the character.He was approached to play clark kent on smallville but he rejected at first.So much for an actor who doesn't even care about a comic book character.

Yes,Welling looks like clark kent but his acting skills?I mean,seriously,what has he done besides smallville???

Fact is,this guy is not getting much work and his resume is totally unimpressive.That should tell you how much his acting credibility lies in.

And honestly,I don't think any actor in their right frame of mind wants to be typecast.

Welling,after playing clark kent for more than six seasons on tv is going to play the character again on the big screen??Does he want to end up like christopher reeve??

And the most ironic thing is,while all the smallville fans wanted him in jl,I have yet to hear any open statement made by Welling that he's interested to play superman in jl.

Welling has never say anything.So he has to appear in jl because of obligation and just to please the fans???

Yes, his resume is weak, and if I were him, I'd take whatever is offered to him - hence that terrible film The Fog (it also only did $29m domestically) and the Cheaper by the Dozen films, which were Steve Martin films.

To be fair, Routh doesn't have a resume either, but Singer said from the beginning he was going to cast an unknown.

When SV is over, Welling will be going back to modeling, he won't be working as an actor much anymore....

I'm actually looking forward to yet another interpretation - if you're a Superman fan, why wouldn't you? (Unless you're a Welling fan first, Superman fan second).
